Another innocent American life has been cut short because of the total refusal to secure our borders. Sheridan Gorman was just eighteen years old when she was allegedly gunned down by a man who had no business being in our country.

Sheridan Gorman was a student at Loyola University walking with friends when the shooting occurred. Reports indicate the suspect, Jose Medina, entered the country illegally during the current administration and was recently walking free despite a prior criminal record.

“She was failed by open border policies and sanctuary politicians.”

The suspect was reportedly arrested in 2023 for shoplifting but was not turned over to federal authorities. Residents are left wondering how many more families must grieve before the rule of law is actually enforced in major cities.

“Yet another Venezuelan illegal alien allowed into the country by the Biden administration, then released again by a sanctuary jurisdiction on a shoplifting arrest, now accused of murdering an innocent young American college student.”

Politicians talk about safety in our parks while ignoring the reality that their own policies invite danger. If we do not deport those who break our laws, these senseless acts of violence will continue to plague our communities.
