January 1, Biden’s ‘Historic’ Immigration Legacy: Achievements Marred by Controversy

Published

on

President Joe Biden’s time in the White House saw some big changes at our borders, and not the kind we like. His team got busy with orders to stop many of the strict rules from before, which caused a huge mess at the border.

Biden’s plans let a lot of people from other countries come in, and he didn’t send many of them back — less than ever before. In fact, during Biden’s years, we saw more people trying to get into the country than ever in our history. A big report even said that lots of folks came in without permission, which made things tough for good families following the rules.

Around 11 million folks tried to cross the border from February 2021 to December 2024. That’s a lot of people! Many came looking for asylum but were let in without proper checks, making things unsafe and expensive—costing folks around $150 billion a year!

Later, Biden tried to slow things down with a new order, but by then, millions were already here. Critics say his early actions took away protections we had in place, making stuff a lot worse. He stopped things like the border wall and Remain in Mexico policy that helped keep things in check before.

His decisions even led to ones that many officials didn’t agree with. For example, Homeland Security said they changed how they handle things on the inside, which made it easier for people to stay once they got here, even if they came in the wrong way. This just made more people from other countries try to come here, knowing it was easier than before.

The trouble at the border also brought over a lot of bad stuff, like fentanyl. They seized a massive amount of it—is this what we want coming into our communities?

Sanctuary cities, those supposed safe places for migrants, quickly found they were in over their heads. Cities like New York and Chicago spent loads of money helping migrants but later had to cut back because local folks weren’t happy. Even the mayor of New York said they need to change and work with immigration officers more.

On top of all this, a bad gang from Venezuela set up shop here, doing crime across the country. This happened because the border wasn’t secure, and it let troublemakers come in and cause harm.

But, here’s the good news: Donald Trump is coming back! He’s set to toughen up border rules and plans to kick out lots of illegal folks, especially those causing trouble. The challenge he faces is cleaning up the mess left behind, but many believe he’ll get things back on track quickly, just like before.

Americans can expect that with Trump, our borders will be safer and our communities will be more secure once again.

Wyatt Matters!

The changes at the border have really caused a lot of problems. With fewer rules in place, many people have come into the country without permission. It has made things really confusing and hard for families following the law. The number of people trying to enter is higher than ever, and it’s costing a huge amount of money. This has also allowed dangerous things, like drugs, to come into our communities, making everyone feel less safe.

Cities that welcomed migrants are now facing big challenges. They wanted to help but found out they can’t keep up with all the needs because they don’t have enough resources. People in cities like New York and Chicago are even getting upset because helping migrants costs a lot of money. This shows we need better ways to handle things, where everyone feels okay, and cities aren’t stretched too thin.

Now, there’s hope that things might get better. Many people are looking forward to changes that could make the borders safer again. Stronger rules could help make sure only those who really need help and come the right way get in. This means everyone will be safer, and communities can feel more in control.

By-dumb legacy? More like closer to 30 million plus. The amount of got-aways not sure of. The legacy will stink of treason. A clear violation of sworn duty of office that was taken. That also includes thoses involved for the security like dhs secretary. Not letting the border patrol to do their job.even though he resigned.he should be tried for treason.justice needs to be served.he has allowed terrorists to come in also.back in the days. That was a hanging offense.
