January 1, Biden Laughs Off Question About Coronavirus [Video]
President Joe Biden laughed and walked away from a reporter who asked him about a question about the coronavirus.
“There are 800,000 coronavirus deaths. Do you have a statement on your responsibility? And why haven’t you asked China to do more, to be transparent on the origins?” the reporter asked.
Biden laughed and walked away, appearing to dismiss the question with a brief wave.
At the beginning of the year, the coronavirus death toll in the U.S. was 350,000, and it now tops 800,000.
The White House previously faced criticism for not putting enough pressure on China over the virus’s origins.
“We need to again redouble our efforts to hold the Chinese Communist party accountable,” said Mike Pompeo, former secretary of state.
“This is something that the world’s going to have to work on and the American government, President Biden and his team, need to lead that.”
“So far, they have failed in that miserably,” Pompeo added.
