The Biden administration’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives just rolled out a new rule that’s got Main Street gun dealers in a panic. The regulation targets Federal Firearms License holders—the mom-and-pop shops that have served American gun owners for generations.

Small business owners are sounding the alarm. These aren’t big corporate operations with armies of lawyers and accountants.

Local gun shops do more than sell firearms. They’re gathering places for the community. They offer training, gunsmithing, knowledge passed down through generations. They’re where dad takes his son to buy his first rifle. Where veterans swap stories. Where neighbors look out for each other.

The ATF knows all this. Washington knows all this.

This rule didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s part of a coordinated strategy to make gun ownership more difficult, more expensive, more alienating for ordinary Americans. When local dealers disappear, so does easy access to firearms for law-abiding citizens.

The gun-control crowd celebrates every hurdle, every regulation, every small shop that closes its doors. They can’t repeal the Second Amendment, so they’re trying to regulate it into irrelevance, one ATF rule at a time.
