Biden Accidentally Calls VP ‘President Harris’ [Video]
President Joe Biden gave a speech at the South Carolina State University commencement ceremony where he accidentally referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as the president, among other gaffes.
“All kidding aside, of course, President Harris is a proud Howard alum,” Biden said.
The commander-in-chief also jumbled the name of the Democrat-backed legislation, the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.
“On police reform, I share the frustration,” Biden said. “And I know the family well – the George Family Justice Act, Policing Act – I know the family well.”
Biden also told the students of the historically Black university of seemingly implausible technological advancements in their lifetimes.
“You’re gonna see more change in the next 10 years than we’ve seen the last 50 because of the incredible, incredible change in science and technology,” Biden said.
“You’re gonna see us traveling commercially in the next 20 years at 12 to 15,000 miles an hour. Subsonic speeds, supersonic speed — I mean, things are going to change.”
According to the New York Post, the speeds Biden cited would be between 15 and 18 times faster than many bullets. The ranges the president listed are “unheard of outside of space exploration.”
