January 1, AOC Seeks Clarity on Whether DOJ is Investigating Her ICE Directives

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is asking if she’s being investigated for telling people how to deal with ICE officers knocking on their doors. She wrote to Attorney General Pam Bondi to get some answers.
AOC ran a webinar in February called “Know Your Rights with ICE” aimed at helping undocumented immigrants handle situations with immigration officers. Her office used social media to spread the word. People were told not to let ICE agents in without a warrant. This caught the attention of border czar Tom Homan, who wants the Justice Department to see if what AOC did was wrong.
AOC says that educating folks about their rights is important, especially now. She argues that trying to investigate her for this is a threat to free speech. She even quoted Vice President JD Vance to support her point about defending free speech.
But AOC isn’t the only one in the spotlight. Other Democrats, like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Rep. Robert Garcia, are under scrutiny too. Ed Martin, U.S. attorney for D.C., is making sure they explain any comments that might seem threatening. Garcia, for instance, made a strong comment on TV about bringing “weapons” to a “fight for democracy.” Now, he’s got to clarify that statement because it sounds like a threat to some folks.
All this back-and-forth is drawing a lot of attention. It’s about whether or not it’s okay to speak out against the government or its officials. AOC and her colleagues say they’re just doing their job by speaking up for what they believe in, and they’ll keep fighting for those rights.
Wyatt Matters!
Teaching people about their rights is crucial, especially when it comes to dealing with situations involving immigration officers. Helping others understand how to handle visits from ICE officers, like advising them not to let agents in without a warrant, empowers individuals and protects their rights. Sharing this knowledge should not be seen as wrong or harmful; it’s about ensuring everyone knows how to safely navigate difficult situations.
Some officials are concerned about whether sharing this information crosses a line. It’s important to remember that explaining rights and encouraging informed decisions is part of free speech and civic responsibility. Educators and leaders often provide guidance to help people make informed choices and protect themselves, and this kind of teaching should be supported, not investigated.
Questions around free speech are at the heart of this discussion. Talking about rights and how to defend them is a key part of democracy. Public figures speaking out to protect these freedoms are fulfilling a vital role. They are highlighting the importance of open dialogue and the ability to question and comment on government actions without fear of unjust repercussions. It’s essential for everyone to stand up for their right to speak out and share information that helps others.

Free speech can only go so far. Aoc has crossed that line. The lawsuits that Trump has won proves that. But she should be investigated since she is helping illegals. And that’s violating her oath of office she swore to defend.

Illegal immigrants have no rights under the United States Constitution. They broke the law as soon as they crossed the border ILLEGALLY! For AOC or any other Democrat to pander and assist their continued illegal activities is illegal.

Just clarify the situation.
The government has not stopped her from speaking, the investigation into the possible violation of the law is never an attempt to stifle free speech.
If the Justice Department rightly decides to prosecute, it is still not an attempt to stifle free speech.
If she is correctly convicted of the crime, it still won’t be an effort to stifle free speech.
When she goes to jail and stripped of her office she still has the right of free speech.
Free speech does not mean you are free of the consequences of your speech.
Don’t do the crime, if you ain’t ready to do the time.

Thanks to Michael Payne, Canis Scot and Ireland Girl for stating the facts. Free Speech is for American Citizens. If you decide to come to this country illegally, you have ZERO rights.

If you are not an American citizen or are not here legally as a non-citizen, you do not have any rights and are not protected under the American constitution. Come to the United States as a legally documented immigrant, your rights are protected. Otherwise you are a criminal alien and will be treated as such, no lawyer will be provided for you to protect rights you do not have. So, yes, aiding and abetting illegal aliens is treason and she should be investigated as a traitor.

IMO, we have some in our congress who have no intention of doing what is best for this country, but only what is best for their own power hunger. I cannot believe we have some on the taxpayers’ payroll that only consider their won party, rather than what is good for this COUNTRY! As for the one mentioned in this article, perhaps, IMO, one day she will learn to put her brain in gear before opening that big, uninformed, childish mouth of hers. We seem to have far too many in that category, IMO.

What Rights?? They are here illegally. The only rights they should have is to be treated humanely while being deported back to their countries.

I thought you had to be a US citizen to have rights to start with. If you broke the law to get in then your not a US citizen and do not have those rights to start with. And tipping off the criminals, I thought was obstruction of the law and you go to jail for that. So start rounding them up and charging them with a crime it would make others think twice about doing it as well……
