Wyatt’s Take

  • Most Americans want illegal immigration stopped and mass deportations underway.
  • Serious numbers are needed to make a real difference in our cities and towns.
  • Biden’s policies let millions more in, making enforcement more urgent than ever.

Americans are fed up with waves of illegal immigration, wanting both a tighter border and real deportations that change the face of their communities.

The Trump administration has managed to cut border crossings, but sending illegal immigrants home is still the big piece missing from the equation.

The Department of Homeland Security said that more than 2 million illegal immigrants have left, with about 500,000 removed by force. Tricia McLaughlin, a DHS spokesperson, said 600,000 could be deported by the year’s end.

Nearly 75% of ICE arrests involved people with criminal charges or convictions in the U.S. ICE is still focusing first on those caught committing other crimes.

The administration calls these statistics historic, but there’s a long road ahead. Millions more remain in the country illegally, and ICE has been short-staffed for years. Now, 10,000 fresh DHS agents are promised to help speed things up.

No one knows the exact number of illegal immigrants, with guesses going as high as 40 million. Estimates usually leave out people with shaky legal status, anchor babies, and those overstaying visas.

The Biden administration claimed illegal immigration decreased, but common sense says otherwise. Biden’s own DHS Secretary admitted most border encounters ended with illegal immigrants released inside the country.

With millions coming in and most getting released, Democrats are on pace to let in even more if given the chance in 2024 and beyond. The Center for Immigration Studies says the total illegal population is now at 15.4 million, much worse than the official numbers.

Instead of deporting, the Biden team handed out ‘parole’ status, giving many a pass to stay. There’s no solid data on how many are actually here, so it’s best to plan for the worst and act aggressively.

The push should be for 1 million deportations per month, covering both illegal and undeserved legal cases. This would show real action instead of words and memes.

ICE’s main target has been illegal immigrants with criminal records, but Americans in the heartland want all illegal entries addressed, including rethinking birthright citizenship and cutting back on legal immigration for now.

The bottom line: Americans on the ground want decisive action—real deportations and strong borders—so our country stays ours.
