January 1, 7 Takeaways From the Democrat’s Debate

Good Wednesday morning Middle Americans!

We are halfway through round two of the Democrat’s 2020 presidential primary debates. Among the crowd of candidates on the stage Tuesday, only Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders seem to have a legitimate chance of winning the nomination.  During the debate it seemed as though Sens. Warren and Sanders had a deal not to attack each other.  Tonight is the second half of the second round of debates. Joe Biden will share the stage with Sens. Kamala Harris and Cory Booker, both will likely use race as a wedge issue against Biden. Can he do a better job of withstanding the attacks than last time?

In other news…. Trumps trash talk is turning off Suburban women, according to the Associated Press. That said, Baltimore is in fact “rat-infested”. We have the video to prove it below. And a Democratic member of Congress thinks the president’s attacks on Baltimore are motivated by an investigation into his daughter and son in law. Finally, after a Republican member of congress officiated a gay wedding, the local GOP gave him a vote of no confidence. It’s 2019! Read all about it below.

According to CNN, “a handful of low-polling moderates hoped to break through in a crowded Democratic field during Tuesday’s debate by confronting the top-tier candidates on stage, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.”

Warren and Sanders withstood the attacks — and counterpunched much harder.”

Trump’s Trash Talk Turns Off Suburban Women

Carol Evans, a Republican from the affluent Milwaukee suburbs of Waukesha County, just can’t commit to voting for President Trump next year like she did in 2016.

“I just don’t like the way he talks about other people,” Evans, told the Associated Press, days after Trump fired off a racist tweet at Democratic congresswomen.

Rat Photo Bombs Baltimore Reporter’s Live Shot

A rat was seen running through FOX45 Maxine Streicher’s live shot while she was reporting on a story on President Trump’s tweet about Baltimore being “rat-infested”.

Streicher was in west Baltimore’s Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood today to report on conditions.

Dem. Rep: “Trump Attacking Cummings Over Ivanka, Kushner

“The president reacts when there are questions about those who are closest to him, including his family,” Rep. Brenda Lawrence, D-Mich., told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” on Tuesday.

“If you ask me, why he’s giving such emotional responses is because his family, his children, who he put in office, who are employees of the federal government are being questioned and oversight is being applied to them as well.”

Local GOP Votes ‘No Confidence’ After Republican Congressman Officiates Gay Wedding

Rep. Denver Riggleman, a Republican representing Virginia’s 5th District, received a vote of no confidence from the Cumberland County Republican Committee because he officiated a same-sex wedding for two campaign volunteers whom he described as “friends,” NBC News Reports.
