January 1, 5 Prominent Republicans Side With Pence
Several prominent Republicans have publicly supported former Vice President Mike Pence after his recent rebuke of former President Donald Trump.
Pence said Trump was “wrong” for asserting that the former vice president could have “overturned” the 2020 presidential election.
“Frankly there is almost no idea more un-American than the notion that any one person could choose the American President,” Pence said while speaking at a conference in Florida last week.
Following Pence’s comments, several Republicans have backed his remarks.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)
During an appearance on CBS News’ Face the Nation, Rubio said that “vice presidents can’t simply decide not to certify an election,” adding, “I just don’t think a vice president has that power.”
Marc Short, Pence’s former chief of staff
Short told NBC’s Meet the Press that Trump’s claim that Pence could have overturned the election “merited response,” adding that the Jan. 6 Capitol riot was not “legitimate political discourse.”
Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY)
Barrasso told Fox News Sunday that Pence “did his constitutional duty that day, adding, “it’s not the Congress that elects the president, it’s the American people.”
H.R. McMaster, Trump’s former national security adviser
McMaster told Face the Nation that he “absolutely” agreed with Pence’s remarks, adding, “all Americans should agree with Vice President Pence.”
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R)
“I think that the actions the vice president took on Jan. 6 spoke loudly. And I’m glad he’s finally put words to it,” Christie said during an appearance on ABC’s This Week.
“I don’t know why it took him so long, but I’m glad that he did.”

President Trump wasn’t saying that Mike Pence could “overturn” the election. He wanted Pence to return the results of a few states that were in question back to the electors for a decision.

Pence had the authority to return the votes back to the states that were in question. Then it would be up to the states to see where fraud took place. If pence did his job, this country wouldn’t have all the problems It’s now experiencing. Pence let the country down.

Since when did Rubio become prominent? He’s a part time RINO who will flip his position on an issue based on how it’s polling. The rest of those on the list, are irrelevant.

Pence is a Christian, a real “fake Christian” who turned his back on one fine and patriotic law abiding Donald Trump by “standing up and taking sides with “HIS SAVIOR SATAN” by not de-certifying the 2020 election as being fraudulent and illegal. Pence IS NO CHRISTIAN, but indeed a “CLOSET SUPPORTER” of his savior “SATAN, the devil himself”. To stand with, support, help, encourage and to believe in Pres. Trumps policies “WAS JUST A FAKE & PHONY SHIT SHOW” put on by Mr. Pence in order to turn against him in the end……………………dontcha just love these…………..rattlesnake Christians? Ever since Pence did this to Trump, I, personally along with many others NO LONGER EVER TURN OUR BACKS ON “A N Y” Christians for any reason whatsoever, and, surprisingly enough I had a recent encounter with an individual (Christian phony) who did me wrong and was severely chastised and openly criticized by me for his “racist & homophobic” remarks along with his illegal activities. I now steer clear of CHRISTIANS because of Pence and just turn away from them and go about my business.
