January 1, House legislators file articles of impeachment against Biden

A group of legislators filed new articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden for an unsecured border, his handling of the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, and imposing an eviction moratorium even though he said it might not hold up under constitutional scrutiny.
The group of GOP lawmakers, led by Rep. Bob Gibbs (OH), includes Andy Biggs (AZ), Brian Babin (TX), and Randy Weber (TX).
The House members argued that Biden’s conduct “warrants impeachment and trial, removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.”
This is the second time Biden’s been the subject of articles of impeachment. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) filed articles of impeachment the day after Biden’s swearing-in.
However, the effort has a slim chance of success given that the House majority currently belongs to the Democrats.
