January 1, Biden’s Team Moves to Protect Ruby Mountains

Published

on

The folks in the Biden team are trying to put up some barriers to stop oil and gas drilling out west, and they’re doing this just a few weeks before President-elect Donald Trump steps into office.

This Monday, the Department of the Interior decided they want to block oil and gas leases in a huge part of Nevada’s Ruby Mountains for 20 years. They put in an application to keep about 264,000 acres free from new leases. This kicks off a two-year pause on any new drilling leases while the paperwork is being checked out. During this time, there will be a 90-day period where the public can share their thoughts, and that’ll be under Trump’s watch.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said they’re doing this to keep the Ruby Mountains safe for future adventures, animals, and community wishes. They say they’re listening to Native Tribes and groups who love the outdoors.

Even though they’re not allowing new oil and gas leases, mining isn’t affected by this move.

Back in Trump’s first term, there was some talk about leasing part of the Ruby Mountains, around 54,000 acres, for drilling. But that plan got tossed away in 2019 because a whole bunch of people spoke up against it, saying they didn’t like the idea.

Jenna Padilla, who was checking out rocks in the area, said they didn’t really find much oil there anyway.

Now, we’re left wondering if Trump’s team will look at leases in this zone, but Biden’s new plan might make it a bit tricky to do so.

Wyatt Matters!

The decision to block new oil and gas leases in the Ruby Mountains is a smart move that helps protect our environment. The Ruby Mountains are special because they are home to many animals and are a beautiful place for people to enjoy. By stopping drilling, it keeps the land safe for future adventures and protects the wishes of local communities, including Native Tribes who care deeply about this area. It also shows that the government listens to people who want to keep the land clean and safe for everyone.

This plan allows people to share their opinions during a 90-day comment period. This is an important opportunity for everyone to voice their thoughts about what should be done with the land. In the past, when there were talks about leasing parts of the Ruby Mountains, many people spoke out against it. Their voices were powerful enough to cancel those plans, which shows how important it is for everyone to speak up and be part of the decision-making process.

It’s interesting to note that researchers, like Jenna Padilla, didn’t find much oil in the Ruby Mountains anyway. This makes it even clearer that protecting the land is the right choice. It means we won’t be destroying nature for a resource that isn’t really there. Keeping the Ruby Mountains free from drilling ensures that this beautiful place will remain a treasure for future generations to explore and enjoy.

What research has Jenna Padilla done to validate the lack of carbonates in the Ruby Mountains? Is she a petroleum geologist, or does she possess some other mystical power of carbonate divination that would confirm that there is no oil in the Ruby Mountains?

This may be an area to continue protecting, BUT, America needs to be able to use our own plentiful oil and all that pol creates. It is completely hideous that we have to depend on other countries for our oil needs, especially from countries who despise us. Having to do oil from across the ocean, then truck it cross country is totally unnecessary compared to being independent with our OWN OIL!

The Biden (Team) moved to protect Ruby Mountain?

Who is this team? The same ones who have been acting as president the past four years? We know Biden isn’t capable.
Is this the same team that has done things to line their pockets? Probably because otherwise why would they hurry to make this move?
    Don’t trust the (Team)!

I’m sorry but mother nature deserves protection. These mountains deserve to be free from the ugliness of human kind in it in any way except maybe hiking. Animals deserve places where man does not invade it so they may live free.
If people choose not to want it, that’s what the USA is about. Listening to the people. Not fat oilmen and politicians that want to destroy a beautiful place.
Not a criminal president who only wants to destroy what we have in the USA.

Make sure to give up your vehicle to set an example. No long drives, even on alternate transportation, to visit relatives. No planes, trains or automobiles. Nothing that uses oil derivative fuel to move. No electric vehicles either. Walk everywhere.

How about the people living or visiting the east coast beaches and see these f-ckin ugly windmills turbines we didn’t want those f-clin things built look
How many whales dolphins all sorts of fish turtles and all the birds killed. So don’t tell me oil driller are the end of the world. Texas has oil pumping pumps all over farm land
Horses cattle still graze on that land and it’s been going on for hundred years. Is it better to strip land hundreds of feet down to get the minerals out of dirt to
Build batteries with diesel equipment running to get the dirt removed that’s stripping thousand of acres of land. To build one battery needs tons of earth moved
EV people their saving or helping the environment are stone cold stupid do your research on how and what it takes to make batteries. There’s plenty shows on the
Internet showing them stripping land that’s a thousand time worse than even doing coal mining. Wake up America before it’s to late democrats screwed you so hard
And lied to you with all this B.S. you can’t even feel it. Biden Harris and democrats made billions of dollars of of EVS and some of you believed the world was
Coming to a end. How many years have they said the oceans are rising I live on the water for 70 years and it’s tide levels are the same every day except if a storm
Is brewing. So F-ck Biden and Harris and democrats they screwed every one of us.

biden small b is not even a legitimate president, and his entire regime is illegitimate so the real question is why were we the people not able to oust these illegitimate election stealing treasonous bastards in 2020???? Now on saving our environment all we the people need to do is atart to self depopulate, and responsibly stop having offspring. we need to just quit already, and save our planets air, water, animals, and trees. Lets use some common sense. We all know we need to do our part to save this planet for a much smaller future generations to come. We need to act responsibly possibly with new laws on reproduction. That is how we must move forward.

This article is severely biased against the use of carbon fuels. Drilling for oil does virtually nothing to harm the environment in regards to the critters in the area, As to the CO2 global warming crap, it is all about the control and not the science. Ice core studies have shown atmospheric CO2 levels rise after historic warning periods not before.
