January 1, Biden’s Decency Comment Sparks Conservative Backlash

Published

on

So, President Biden took a swing at Trump by saying he could learn “decency” from the late Jimmy Carter. This comment didn’t go over well with conservatives online.

Jimmy Carter passed away at 100 years old, being the longest-living American president. When a reporter asked Biden what Trump might pick up from Carter’s legacy, Biden simply said “Decency.”

Now, many folks were upset with Biden’s remarks. Radio host Hugh Hewitt was one of them. He called out Biden, questioning if it’s “decent” for Biden to have supposedly misled the American public with the help of biased media.

Legal analyst Jonathan Turley also chimed in. He pointed out that Biden had promised not to pardon his son Hunter but then did just that, which didn’t look very honest compared to Jimmy Carter’s reputation.

Another radio host, Joe Pagliarulo, didn’t hold back, calling Biden “indecent” and accusing him of getting rich off influence others through his position. It’s quite ironic, many feel, for Biden to talk about “decency.”

Many people are remembering Jimmy Carter right now. But some, like Newsweek’s Josh Hammer, say Carter’s legacy wasn’t all that great, and Biden using this moment to hit at Trump wasn’t decent at all.

Animator Doug TenNapel criticized Biden even more, saying he’s done harm to the country and wished him to find faith as a hope for salvation.

Meanwhile, Trump, despite his past disagreements with Carter, paid respect to him. On Truth Social, Trump said that Americans owe Carter a “debt of gratitude” for trying to improve lives during challenging times in America. Trump also acknowledged that Carter loved and respected the nation deeply, even if they had different views.

Jimmy Carter, elected in 1976, was defeated by Ronald Reagan in 1980. He was the first former president to reach 100. His wife Rosalynn passed away last year.

Wyatt Matters!

It’s important to think about what it means to be decent, especially when talking about leaders. People may not always agree with each other, but showing respect is key. When President Biden suggested that former President Trump could learn about decency from Jimmy Carter, it made a lot of people talk. Some agreed with him, while others strongly disagreed. For many, decency means being honest and treating others with kindness, something Jimmy Carter was often praised for during his life.

While some people were upset with Biden’s comments, others pointed out his own mistakes. They said it wasn’t fair for him to talk about decency when his actions have not always lined up with his words. For example, there are claims about things he has done that don’t match up with promises he made. This shows how important it is for leaders to act honestly and keep their promises. It’s not enough just to talk about doing the right thing; actions speak louder than words.

Despite the debates about Biden’s comment, it’s good to see that President Trump also showed respect for Carter. He focused on Carter’s efforts to improve lives, even during tough times. It reminds us that appreciating someone’s good qualities is a decent thing to do, regardless of political differences. We can learn from the good in others and recognize when people have worked hard to make a positive difference, just like Jimmy Carter did.

People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. And Biden talking about decency is as laughable as an abortionist talking about how much he loves babies. It’s really rich when the intolerant left preaches about acceptance and decency something they glaringly lack, like common sense!!!!!

Amen! You beat me to the filing of that comment. I’m surprised he even knows the word!

Well Biden has no decency. He is a liar and a cheat. He is not someone that most people would be taking advice from regarding decency. But those that only watch and read MSM wouldn’t know that. Jan 29th can’t come soon enough.

Carter may have been a Christian. Her certainly appeared to be a Christian in his good works, but God only knows for sure. The problem I have with him is the fact that he was arrogant, a very poor president, and showed much false humility. HIs own Secret Service detail even noted he would carry empty suitcases so it would appear he was his own man and could do for himself. Farce. He was elected to be a war monger as well. I am not totally against war when warranted but it just seems too many presidents are quick to do this. (all of them, except Trump).

Both Biden and Carter had problems with ‘decency’. many commenting about Carter as a good man, did not live through Carter’s destructive term? I did. He was a horrible President on cultural as well as foreign-policy and economic issues. He was an apologist for Islamist terror, as well as the pro-abortion N.O.W.. He was ‘DEI’ before there was DEI. He was anti-Israel & Pro-Moscow(and pro-Moscow-minions like Tehran AND Saddam Hussein,.. as well as supporting N. Korea, and other Communist regimes.) He ‘claimed’ to be a Christian, but represented a Non-biblical ‘version’–more of a ‘Social-Justice’ advocate, than a Biblical-truth advocate. He said Jesus would approve of Same-Sex marriage. His morality was corrupted, and he proffered a ‘self-righteous’ arrogance that countered principles of truth of the Bible. He took bizarre positions on moral-issues, and tried to position himself in front of sitting Presidents on foreign-policy issues, even after leaving office, and as a private-citizen tried making US-foreign-policy decisions, with N. Korea, and against Israel. He displayed self-righteous arrogance, and supported moral-confusion DEI ethos. Not a good man.
Biden is another ‘Moscow-man’, who’s both arrogant and corrupt. Through dirty deals with Moscow-Beijing-Tehran he has undermined US National-Sovereignty, and Border-Security. Another pro-abortionist, sex-confusion-ist, DEI advocate (like Carter), Biden’s PRETENSE of support for Ukraine’s National-Sovereignty, border-security, and Liberty from Moscow’s shackles is a demonstration of how ‘Big-Talk-while-Slow-walking’ military & weapons aid, along with USE-RESTRICTIONS,.. can create Moscow-seeded confusion within the US,.. and betray Liberty & Sovereignty in the favor of tyrannical Statist-regimes of Moscow-Beijing-Tehran & cohort minions.
