January 1, Major Actor Files for Divorce Citing Years of Abuse and Son’s Tragic Death
Michael Madsen, known for his iconic role in “Reservoir Dogs,” has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife DeAnna Madsen, alleging years of abuse and neglect. According to sources, Madsen believes DeAnna’s behavior, particularly her alcoholism, played a significant role in the tragic death of their son Hudson, who took his own life.
Madsen is now seeking a domestic violence restraining order against DeAnna to protect himself. In legal documents, Madsen cited “irreconcilable differences” and revealed that he had actually separated from DeAnna in January 2022. However, the issues within their marriage seem far deeper than just disagreements.
Describing the relationship as “abusive, co-dependent, and toxic,” Madsen noted that DeAnna’s behavior exacerbated his own personal struggles. This revelation comes on the heels of a wrongful arrest for domestic violence in August, where Madsen was taken into custody after an altercation with DeAnna.
Despite being accused of shoving his wife, which led to his arrest on misdemeanor domestic violence charges, Madsen posted the $20,000 bond and the Los Angeles County District Attorney ultimately decided not to file charges due to insufficient evidence.
It’s a tragic tale that underscores the importance of addressing personal struggles and ensuring proper support, highlighting the urgent need for fairness in the legal system and clarity in domestic violence cases.

Good for him. I wish him all the best as he goes forward. Alcoholism and abuse affects everyone in the house, especially children who watch and hear issues as they grow. Causes problems in them and they don’t know where to turn, which can lead to alcoholism, drugs and suicide. God be with them all.
