Wyatt’s Take

  • The Norwegian Nobel Committee handed its top honor to an anti-Israel activist instead of recognizing real peace efforts.
  • Navi Pillay built her career pushing false genocide claims against Israel while ignoring Hamas terror.
  • Trump warned America about the United Nations bias and now the prize proves him right again.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee gave its 2026 Peace Prize to former United Nations tribunal boss Navi Pillay. The 85-year-old South African jurist spent years leading panels that attacked the Jewish state.

Her award came one year after she led a U.N. Commission of Inquiry that falsely accused Israel of genocide in Gaza. Critics called the decision a slap in the face to real justice.

“The system of international law is under tremendous pressure, and its institutions are under attack,” the Nobel committee stated in its citation.

Pillay’s record shows a pattern of bias. Under her leadership the U.N. panel ignored Palestinian terror networks and downplayed the October 7 Hamas attacks that killed over 1,200 Israelis.

Back in 2010 her office refused to remove an antisemitic blood libel from its website that accused Israeli doctors of stealing Palestinian organs. She later defended another commissioner who complained about Jewish control of social media.

In June 2023 a hot mic caught Pillay and her fellow commissioner laughing about dodging tough questions from human rights watchdog U.N. Watch.

Pillay: I thought both of you handled it really well. Sometimes having a limited time is a blessing.

Sidoti: For sure.

Pillay: And you did well, Chris, not to, you know, visit every question that was raised.

At a conference in Nuremberg the new Nobel winner mocked President Donald Trump for sanctioning the International Criminal Court. “The last thing I did is the delivery of the report on Gaza, naming what’s happening there as genocide,” Pillay sneered to a cheering crowd. “If you clap a little bit more, I may share this prize with Trump.”

Trump withdrew the United States from the U.N. Human Rights Council after calling its bodies contrary to American interests and attacking our allies. He has long criticized the U.N. campaign against Israel.

By giving the prize to Pillay the committee rewarded someone history will remember for shielding terrorists.

Wyatt Matters

Middle America still believes peace comes from strength and truth, not from rewarding people who twist justice to attack our allies.
