Wyatt’s Take

  • One juror stood firm for three innocent victims while the rest caved to outside pressure.
  • Deliberations turned nasty as emotion overruled facts and the law.
  • The case proves why families and communities must keep the children at the center of every discussion.

A holdout juror from the Lindsay Clancy trial is speaking out for the first time since the judge declared a mistrial. Michael P. Desronvil says the room grew tense fast and he refused to let the victims be forgotten.

Desronvil told the local television station he kept the focus on the three children who lost their lives. He said the jury needed to remember exactly what happened to those kids before any verdict was reached.

“The three angels” is how Desronvil referred to the victims throughout the interview, urging the public to keep their memory alive despite the legal outcome.

After days of heated talks, the panel could not reach a unanimous decision. The judge ended the trial without a conviction or acquittal, leaving the case unresolved.

Desronvil said he felt it was his duty to hold the line when others appeared ready to move on. He believes the facts presented in court should have guided the verdict, not sympathy or outside noise.

Wyatt Matters

Real justice starts when communities refuse to let victims disappear behind legal technicalities and demand accountability for every innocent life lost.
