Wyatt’s Take

  • Washington finally sent troops to the southern border after years of cartel violence ignored by Biden and Democrats
  • The deployment comes after Coast Guard members faced gunfire from suspected cartel members
  • Real action is replacing the empty talk that left American communities exposed

The U.S. military is deploying approximately 500 troops to the Rio Grande Valley in America’s fight against cartels. The deployment is a response to Coast Guard members being shot at by suspected cartel members on Sept. 26, News Nation reported Friday.

Though the incident remains under investigation, no injuries to Coast Guard personnel or damage to the vessel were reported. The troops will assist with surveillance, detection, and monitoring efforts to combat illegal drug and human trafficking.

Border communities have endured years of violence and chaos while politicians in Washington looked the other way. The new deployment signals a shift toward actually securing the frontier instead of managing the crisis from afar.

“We are taking decisive action to protect our borders and our people from the threat posed by these criminal organizations,” a military spokesperson stated.

Wyatt Matters
