January 1, Trump AG Pick Survives Democrat Assault — Confirmation Incoming

Wyatt’s Take
- Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, Todd Blanche, just cleared a major confirmation hurdle despite fierce Democrat resistance
- The left threw everything they had at this conservative prosecutor — and lost
- Another MAGA victory as Trump’s team takes shape to restore law and order
President Trump’s choice for Attorney General, Todd Blanche, just scored a massive win in his confirmation battle. The experienced prosecutor sailed through a critical Senate vote, putting him on the fast track to leading the Department of Justice.
Democrats tried every trick in the book to derail Blanche’s nomination. They dug into his background, questioned his loyalty, and threw partisan attacks his way throughout the confirmation hearings.
My team and I have met with committee members and Senators over the past several weeks and addressed any concerns or outstanding questions. We have enjoyed good faith discussions, and as a result issue the following order and update with regard to the May IRS settlement. The… pic.twitter.com/U6hs15kw2D

But none of it stuck.
Blanche’s legal credentials speak for themselves. He’s handled high-stakes cases and knows the justice system inside and out. That’s exactly what Trump needs to clean up the weaponized DOJ that’s been targeting conservatives for years.
The Senate Judiciary Committee advanced his nomination, setting up what’s expected to be a successful full Senate vote. Even some moderate Democrats couldn’t find legitimate reasons to oppose him.
This nomination matters because the Attorney General controls federal law enforcement. Under Biden, the DOJ went after parents at school board meetings, targeted Catholics as extremists, and raided Trump’s home like he was a drug kingpin.
Blanche represents a return to equal justice under the law — not the two-tiered system we’ve suffered under for the past four years.
The left’s meltdown over this nomination shows they’re terrified of losing their grip on the Justice Department. They’ve used it as a political weapon, and now that weapon is about to be taken away.
Trump promised to restore integrity to federal law enforcement. With Blanche at the helm, that promise moves one giant step closer to reality.
The full Senate vote is expected within days. Barring any last-minute surprises, Blanche will be confirmed and ready to get to work draining the swamp at DOJ.
Why It Matters
For too long, working Americans watched as the Justice Department targeted them while protecting the powerful elite. Parents speaking up at school boards got FBI visits. Conservative groups got harassed by federal agents. Meanwhile, Hunter Biden walked free and Clinton allies faced zero consequences. Todd Blanche’s confirmation means accountability is coming back to Washington. When justice applies equally to everyone — not just regular folks — America works the way our founders intended.
