January 1, Top GOP Senator Issues Dire Warning About Democrats’ Dangerous New Direction

Wyatt’s Take

  • Avowed socialists just won Democratic primaries in New York, Colorado, and New Jersey — candidates who mock our flag, defend terrorists, and want to abolish capitalism entirely
  • These aren’t fringe voices anymore: 66% of Democrats now view socialism favorably, up from just 50% fifteen years ago, and the party is blocking military funding while pushing open borders
  • What starts as radical left-wing fringe becomes mainstream Democratic policy within years — just look at defunding police, sanctuary cities, and the complete 180 on illegal immigration

Democrats just sent actual Marxists to Congress, and it should alarm every freedom-loving American. What begins on the lunatic fringe doesn’t stay there — it becomes the party’s marching orders faster than you can say “fundamentally transform America.”

This Red-Green alliance between socialists and Islamists isn’t new. It dates back over a century to when Soviet communists recruited Muslim peoples for their “holy war against the British conquerors.” Now it’s back, and it’s more dangerous than ever.

Take New York’s Darializa Avila Chevalier. She posted about using the American flag as a napkin and called our country a “f*cking disgrace.”

She’s trashed our troops repeatedly, accusing our military of “war crimes” and mocking homeless veterans. And Democrats nominated her anyway.

Then there’s Melat Kiros in Colorado, who called the 9/11 attacks the “inevitable” result of America’s foreign policy. She also labeled Hamas’s October 7 massacre the “inevitable consequence of apartheid.”

She didn’t just win — she knocked out a 15-term congresswoman. Apparently, being one of the most liberal members in the House wasn’t radical enough for today’s Democratic Party.

New Jersey’s giving us Adam Hamawy, the Democratic nominee who testified on behalf of Omar Abdel-Rahman — the convicted terrorist mastermind behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Thirty years later, this guy is one step from Congress.

These aren’t just anti-American loudmouths. They want to replace capitalism with socialism, end the electoral college, give voting rights to illegal aliens, abolish prisons, outlaw fossil fuels, and permanently open the border.

Moderate Democrats will claim these socialists don’t represent their party. But recent history tells a very different story.

Remember the defund-the-police crazies? They turned their insanity into action.

Democrats in Congress shut down the Department of Homeland Security for 76 days trying to permanently eliminate ICE. Right now, Senate Democrats are blocking the National Defense Authorization Act — a bill supporting our troops that’s always passed with bipartisan support.

Look at how the party flipped on illegal immigration. Bill Clinton regularly used the phrase “illegal aliens” — now Democrats consider it hate speech.

Barack Obama wrote about “requiring that any job first be offered to U.S. workers.” Just ten years later, more than 50% of Democrats say their party stands for open borders. Blue sanctuary cities flat-out refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

Medicare for All was once Bernie Sanders’ pipe dream. Now it’s mainstream, supported by nearly 75% of Democrats in Congress — a single-payer, tax-funded program that would eliminate private insurance entirely.

As Islamists adopt socialist views, socialists are adopting Islamist views right back. After October 7, the Democratic Socialists of America argued it’s “not terrorism or antisemitism to fight against this injustice.”

This poison has infected actual policy. At the war’s start, just three Democratic senators voted against military aid to Israel.

By 2025, more than half voted against it. Democrats are abandoning our longtime ally to appease their radical base.

The activist groups, donors, and political machines behind these socialists will spend years pushing this agenda everywhere. It’s already working: Democrats’ favorability toward socialism jumped from 50% to 66% over fifteen years.

Democratic Socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani — a Hamas apologist who wants government-run grocery stores — is seen as the third most representative politician of the modern Democratic Party.

If these trends continue, every American will suffer the consequences. Taxes will skyrocket, prices for basic goods will explode, and energy costs will soar through the roof.

They’ll reopen the border, handcuff our military, and defund the police. Americans will be far less safe and far less prosperous.

Every Democrat elected helps determine who chairs committees, what legislation reaches the floor, and who sets the party’s agenda. Democrats who campaign as moderates still vote to empower Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and the party’s increasingly radical wing.

Republicans will continue backing the Americans who serve in uniform. We’ll keep fighting for a secure border so families aren’t forced to subsidize illegal immigration.

We’ll work to lower energy costs by expanding American oil and natural gas production. And we’ll keep standing with law enforcement, defending the Second Amendment, protecting the unborn, and preserving our God-given freedoms.

The Democratic Party lurches further left every year. This November, Americans can stop this socialist surge by rejecting their radical agenda and voting Republican.

Senator Tom Cotton represents the State of Arkansas.

Why It Matters

Working families can’t afford another socialist experiment. When radicals take over, grocery prices don’t come down — they explode. Energy bills don’t shrink — they double. And your neighborhood doesn’t get safer when they defund police and open the border. This isn’t about political labels. It’s about whether your paycheck stretches far enough to feed your kids and whether you feel safe in your own community. The choice couldn’t be clearer.
