January 1, SHOCKING Accusation Rocks California Governor’s Race

Wyatt’s Take
- Republican candidate drops bombshell allegation against former Biden official now running for governor
- Explosive claim centers on children crossing the border and what happened to them under federal watch
- California voters face stark choice between conservative reformer and establishment Democrat with disturbing record
A Republican candidate for California governor has leveled a devastating accusation against his opponent, a former member of Biden’s Cabinet. The charge involves vulnerable migrant children and raises serious questions about accountability in the previous administration.
Steve Hilton, former Fox News commentator and current GOP gubernatorial candidate, appeared on a major podcast to discuss his campaign. During the conversation, he made a stunning allegation about Xavier Becerra, who served as Biden’s Health and Human Services Secretary before entering the California governor’s race.
“[Becerra] pushed migrant kids into the arms of child sex traffickers,” Hilton stated.
The accusation targets Becerra’s handling of unaccompanied minors who crossed the southern border during his tenure at HHS. That department was responsible for the care and placement of migrant children after they were processed by border authorities.
Hilton’s campaign has made border security and protecting children central themes. The former television host has positioned himself as an outsider willing to challenge California’s Democratic establishment.
Becerra served as California’s Attorney General before joining the Biden administration in 2021. He left the Cabinet position earlier this year to pursue the governor’s mansion. His tenure at HHS coincided with record numbers of unaccompanied minors arriving at the border.
The Biden administration faced intense scrutiny over its handling of migrant children, including questions about vetting sponsors and tracking minors after release from federal custody. Multiple reports documented children being placed with adults who exploited them for labor.
California’s gubernatorial race has become one of the most watched contests in the country. The Golden State’s ongoing struggles with crime, homelessness, and out-migration have created an opening for Republican candidates in a traditionally blue stronghold.
Hilton brings name recognition from his television career and experience as a former adviser to British Prime Minister David Cameron. He has pledged to reverse California’s decline and restore common-sense governance.
The Becerra campaign has not yet responded to Hilton’s allegation. Democrats maintain a significant voter registration advantage in California, but recent polling shows growing frustration with single-party rule.
Why It Matters
Working families across America watched in horror as the border crisis put children in danger. Now voters deserve answers about who failed to protect the most vulnerable, and whether those same officials should be trusted with higher office. California needs leadership that puts children’s safety ahead of political correctness.
