January 1, School Bus Aide Arrested After Disturbing Discovery on Video Footage

Wyatt’s Take
- A 62-year-old school bus aide faces serious charges after allegedly assaulting a vulnerable 14-year-old special needs student over multiple days
- Surveillance footage caught the suspect directing the student to a specific seat before inappropriate touching and using his cellphone to record the victim
- The suspect is being held on half-million-dollar bail while parents demand answers about how this predator gained access to their children
A Pennsylvania school bus aide now sits behind bars after surveillance cameras captured disturbing footage of him allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old special needs student. The suspect had been entrusted with the safety of vulnerable children during their daily commute.
Ali Khan, 62, faces multiple charges including endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of minors, and indecent assault. The Bensalem Township Police Department made the arrest after parents reported their daughter had been inappropriately touched.
Khan is currently housed at the Bucks County Correctional Facility, unable to post 10% of his $500,000 bail. That substantial bail amount reflects the severity of the charges against him.
The victim’s parents contacted authorities on Thursday, July 30, after their daughter reported being inappropriately touched by the bus aide earlier that day. Parents of special needs children rely on school transportation staff to protect their most vulnerable kids.
Police investigators determined that Khan allegedly touched the Bensalem High School student multiple times over two consecutive days—Wednesday, July 29, and Thursday, July 30—while she rode the bus to the school’s extended summer program. The assaults happened while the young girl was simply trying to get to school.
Surveillance footage from inside the bus revealed Khan directing the girl to a specific seat. The video then allegedly showed him touching her inappropriately while securing her seatbelt and after she was seated.
The footage also appeared to show Khan engaging in sexual conduct and using his cellphone to photograph or record the girl. These are exactly the kinds of predators parents fear having access to their children.
“Bensalem Police would like to commend the victim of this assault for having the courage to come forward and report the assault,” police said.
“Additionally, Bensalem Police would like to thank the Bensalem School District for their assistance with this investigation. The safety and well-being of our students continues to be the top priority of both the Bensalem Township Police Department and the Bensalem School District.”
The Bensalem Township School District moved quickly once allegations surfaced. The district immediately removed Khan from service and from district premises pending the outcome of criminal and administrative investigations.
“The safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority,” the district said in a statement.
“Whenever concerns involving student safety are brought to our attention, we act immediately to protect students, support families, and cooperate fully with law enforcement. We are committed to conducting a thorough administrative review while respecting the integrity of the criminal investigation.”
The district confirmed full cooperation with the Bensalem Township Police Department. Officials pledged to continue assisting law enforcement as requested while conducting their own administrative investigation.
Khan’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 11, 2026. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine if there are additional victims.
Why It Matters
Working families depend on schools to keep their children safe, especially parents of special needs kids who can’t always defend themselves. When predators infiltrate the system, it betrays every parent who puts their trust in these institutions. This case shows why thorough background checks and constant oversight matter—our kids deserve nothing less than complete protection from those who would harm them.
