January 1, MASS PANIC: Food Festival Turns Into Nightmare as Chaos Erupts

Wyatt’s Take
- Multiple people shot at a Seattle food festival — another blue-city crime disaster where soft-on-crime policies turn public spaces into war zones
- Families just trying to enjoy a Sunday outing faced screaming crowds and mass panic as shots rang out in broad daylight
- Seattle Police still won’t confirm if anyone’s in custody — typical response from a city that’s handcuffed its own officers while criminals run wild
A peaceful Sunday afternoon at Seattle’s Bite of Seattle food festival turned into absolute chaos when multiple people were shot in a mass shooting incident. Police and emergency crews rushed to the Seattle Center shortly after 6 p.m., where families had gathered for what should have been a safe community event.
The Seattle Center was hosting the popular Bite of Seattle food festival over the weekend when violence erupted. Witnesses described scenes of pure panic as festival-goers scrambled for safety.
“Please avoid the area,” Seattle Police wrote on X, offering little additional information to concerned citizens.
Authorities have not confirmed whether any suspects were taken into custody — a detail that matters greatly to residents wondering if the shooter is still on the streets. The Seattle Police Department has not released further information about the incident.
Kayla Carris, 22, was sitting outside the Armory at the Bite of Seattle when the terror began.
“Everyone was just throwing stuff and running. Like everyone.”
Carris told The Seattle Times she watched people scream and run for cover inside the Seattle Center Armory as the shooting unfolded. What started as a relaxing evening at a food festival became a life-or-death sprint to safety.
The incident is the latest in a string of violent crimes plaguing Seattle and other liberal-run cities across America. While Democrats continue to push gun control as the answer, residents in these cities are living with the consequences of defund-the-police movements and district attorneys who treat criminals like victims.
Wyatt Matters
Families in Middle America understand that you should be able to take your kids to a food festival without wondering if you’ll make it home alive. Seattle’s leaders have created an environment where criminals have more rights than law-abiding citizens. This is what happens when you handcuff police, empty jails, and treat public safety like a political game instead of a sacred duty.
