Former First Lady Jill Biden dropped a health bombshell this weekend that’s got Americans asking hard questions. Speaking with a political commentator about her new memoir, she revealed her 83-year-old husband will live with stage 4 cancer for the rest of his life. But it’s what she said next that should concern every American.

While Joe Biden was still president and had a full team of White House doctors at his disposal, Jill noticed he was getting up seven times a night to use the bathroom. She says she assumed someone on his medical team would follow up on that alarming symptom. They apparently didn’t.

It wasn’t until after they left the White House in 2025 that Jill told her husband he needed to see a urologist. At that first appointment, the doctor immediately said, “There’s something there,” and ordered a CAT scan.

“I never imagined it would be prostate cancer,” Jill admitted. “I just never imagined it.”

But this wasn’t just any cancer diagnosis. Jill explained that while some prostate cancers can be cured, Joe’s situation is far more serious.

“The problem with Joe — it’s stage four, and it has metastasized to his bones. So that puts things on a whole different level. I mean, Joe will have to live with cancer for the rest of his life, which means he’s on special medicines.”

She described the grueling five-week radiation treatment that required constant trips from Delaware to Philadelphia. The toll on the former president has been significant.

“You know, it takes a toll,” she said, before listing off his recent schedule: a Democratic Party event in South Dakota on Friday night, a friend’s wedding on Saturday, and Philadelphia on Sunday.

“He keeps his schedule, but he’s slowed down,” Jill acknowledged. “I mean, stage four cancer is — and he’s 83 — so, I think the mix of everything and the medications that he’s taken has made life a little more difficult these days.”

When asked how she’s handling the situation, Jill painted a picture that many caregiving families will recognize — but one that raises eyebrows given the circumstances.

“It’s hard to be a caretaker,” she said, noting Joe wouldn’t want her to phrase it that way. “I have to make sure he gets the right medications. I’m the one talking to the doctors. I’m the one setting up the appointments. I’m the one to make sure that he eats well.”

Joe Biden announced his cancer diagnosis in May 2025, months after leaving office.

Earlier this week, Jill told another morning show that her husband is “doing OK” and staying active with speeches, Amtrak travel, and veteran ceremonies. “He’s doing a lot, but he has stage 4 cancer,” she added.

During the discussion, Jill also addressed the painful 2024 period when Joe dropped out of the presidential race after his disastrous debate performance in June. She recalled the moment at their Delaware home when he turned to her and said simply: “I have no choice.”

She described it as “hurtful” when Democrats — many longtime friends — publicly called for Biden to exit the race. While Joe has since reconciled with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at a funeral in January, the 75-year-old Jill admitted she still hasn’t spoken to Pelosi.

In a moment that revealed lingering bitterness, Jill claimed there’s been a “double standard” in conversations about her husband’s age and mental sharpness compared to President Donald Trump, who turns 80 on June 14.

Looking ahead to future leadership, Jill said she wants someone with “integrity, trustworthiness, and empathy” but didn’t name names.

“They’re the characteristics of the American people,” she said. “That’s who we are.”

Wyatt Matters

Working families who’ve cared for aging loved ones know exactly what Jill Biden described — the doctor appointments, the medications, the constant worry. That’s real life for millions of Americans. But here’s what sticks in the craw: if Joe Biden was having these symptoms severe enough to wake him seven times a night while he was president, why wasn’t the public told? Why did it take leaving office to get a proper diagnosis? The American people deserved transparency about the health of their commander-in-chief. Instead, we got carefully managed photo ops and assurances everything was fine. Now we know different. That’s not about politics — that’s about basic honesty with the folks who put their trust in leadership.

Jill’s comments are BS. Joes doctor was a hack who hid Joe’s mental
Decline and apparently missed the warning signs of prostate cancer. And if Jill was aware of the issues, why didn’t she speak to the doctors then? Then she claims she feared Joe was having a stroke during the debate, and did nothing to intervene. And now she claims she is in charge of Joe’s health? She’s just looking for sympathy for something she likely has little involvement in, but wants the credit.

If “Doctor” Jill really cared why not cut out the speeches ( a joke because he likely won’t remember what to say anyway – ” Come on man ” which is the only reason any sane person would go to listen. As far as the political events ? (another “come on Man” would be appropriate) given his job performance while in

office “Sleepy Joe” is the last one I’d want stumping for me if I were a democrat running for office.

It all boils down to the same thing as when Sleepy Joe was in office. “Doctor” Jill doesn’t care in anyway shape or form about her husband but only about personally being in the public spotlight as much as possible
