Police are hunting for a gunman after an innocent Walmart employee was shot during an apparent dispute between two men inside a Pennsylvania store Friday evening. Officers rushed to the Walmart at 50 McDade Blvd. in Darby Township, Delaware County, shortly after 7 p.m. following reports of gunfire inside the store.
Darby Township Police Chief Michael Sousa told investigators two men got into a verbal altercation in the self-checkout area before one of them pulled out a handgun and fired. The situation turned deadly in seconds.
“It looked like, from what we’re gathering with my detectives, two males get into a verbal altercation at self-checkout,” Sousa said. “One of the males brandishes a firearm, fires a round indiscriminately and hits one of the female Walmart employees in the leg — not the subject he was arguing with.”
The employee was transported to a hospital. Sousa did not immediately provide an update on her condition, but the fact remains: she was simply doing her job when chaos erupted around her.
The suspect fled before officers arrived and remains at large. Police are reviewing surveillance video in an effort to identify the shooter and bring him to justice.
“There is no threat to the public,” Sousa said, adding officers have cleared the Walmart and nearby businesses. But that reassurance rings hollow for the woman now in a hospital bed and her family waiting for word on her recovery.
The investigation remains ongoing.

This is what happens when our communities become battlegrounds and law-abiding citizens can’t even go to work without risking their lives. A hardworking woman was just trying to earn her paycheck, serving her neighbors, and she gets caught in the crossfire of two thugs who can’t control their tempers. We need our police funded, our laws enforced, and criminals locked up—not coddled. Our people deserve to feel safe at their workplace, at the store, in their own neighborhoods. Period.

Police should be checking files in Philadelphia where the A-Hole Larry Krasner is the DA. Soros-backed radical DA that is directly responsible for countless murders perpetrated by all the people he has either let out of jail with his cashless bail schemes or has failed to prosecute because he won’t prosecute “people of color”. The people of Pennsylvania don’t deserve this. However, the people of Philadelphia voted this monster into office, and then they re-elected him. They deserve to suffer from all the murders and the rapes that Krasner and the voters of Philadelphia are responsible for.
