January 1, EXPOSED: How China Rigged Shipping During Pandemic — Staggering Prices Hit Americans

Wyatt’s Take

  • China’s biggest shipping companies deliberately choked supply during COVID while jacking up prices on American businesses and families
  • Seven Chinese executives now face federal charges for a collusion scheme that bilked billions from our economy
  • This is exactly what Trump warned us about — China doesn’t play fair and the swamp let them get away with it for years

The Department of Justice just dropped the hammer on four of the world’s biggest Chinese shipping container companies. Seven executives are now facing criminal charges for what investigators are calling a massive conspiracy to artificially restrict container supply during the pandemic.

While Americans were locked down and struggling to get basic goods, these companies were allegedly working together to drive up prices and squeeze our businesses dry. We’re talking billions of dollars in commerce affected.

Think about all those empty shelves during COVID. Think about the prices that went through the roof. Now we know a big part of that pain was deliberate — Chinese companies colluding to bleed American consumers and small businesses while we were at our most vulnerable.

The DOJ says these executives conspired to keep shipping containers scarce even when demand was exploding. Basic economics — restrict supply, prices skyrocket. And American families paid the price at every checkout counter.

This is the China problem conservatives have been sounding the alarm about for years. While Washington politicians were busy with impeachment theater and COVID lockdowns, the Chinese Communist Party’s corporate cronies were rigging the system against us.

Four massive container manufacturers worked together like a cartel. Seven executives allegedly coordinated the whole operation. And regular Americans got stuck with the bill while trying to survive a pandemic.

The timing couldn’t be more suspicious. Right when America needed reliable supply chains most, when families were trying to get food and essentials delivered, China’s shipping giants allegedly decided to squeeze us for every penny.

This is economic warfare dressed up as business. And it took years for the Justice Department to finally do something about it.

Wyatt Matters

This is why we need leaders who understand China isn’t our friend. They see our markets as something to manipulate and our families as something to exploit. While Washington was asleep at the wheel, Chinese companies were allegedly fixing prices and choking supply chains that heartland America depends on. We need prosecutors who’ll go after foreign collusion as hard as they chase political opponents, and trade policies that put American workers and families first.
