January 1, Conservative Powerhouse Sworn In — Thomas Jefferson Quote Stuns Leftists

Wyatt’s Take
- Colombia just got its own MAGA moment — a conservative president who quotes Thomas Jefferson at his inauguration while socialist elites across Latin America lose their minds
- Abelardo de la Espriella’s victory proves everyday working people are fed up with woke leftist failures destroying economies and families across the hemisphere
- This is what happens when patriots stand up to globalist socialism — real leadership returns and national pride comes roaring back
Colombia welcomed a new era of conservative leadership Friday afternoon as President Abelardo de la Espriella took the oath of office for a four-year term. The ceremony marked a dramatic shift away from years of leftist governance that left the South American nation struggling with economic turmoil and rising crime.
In a powerful moment that sent shockwaves through the socialist establishment, de la Espriella invoked American Founding Father Thomas Jefferson during his inaugural address. The move was a deliberate signal to patriots everywhere that traditional values and free-market principles are making a comeback across Latin America.
De la Espriella’s rise to power mirrors a growing wave of conservative victories sweeping across the Western Hemisphere. Working-class Colombians rejected the failed promises of leftist politicians who spent years pushing radical agendas while families struggled to put food on the table.
The new president ran on a platform of law and order, economic freedom, and restoring national sovereignty — themes that resonated deeply with everyday Colombians tired of watching their country slip into chaos. His victory represents a wholesale rejection of the socialist policies that have devastated neighboring Venezuela and threatened stability throughout the region.
Friday’s inauguration drew massive crowds of supporters waving Colombian flags and chanting for change. The atmosphere was electric as citizens celebrated what many see as their own version of a populist uprising against entrenched elites.
De la Espriella’s decision to quote Jefferson wasn’t accidental. It was a direct message to the international left that Colombia intends to chart its own course based on timeless principles of individual liberty and limited government — the same values that made America great.
The timing couldn’t be more critical. As socialist movements continue collapsing across Latin America, conservative leaders like de la Espriella are proving there’s a better path forward rooted in faith, family, and freedom.
Why It Matters
When a new president in Colombia quotes Thomas Jefferson at his swearing-in, it’s a reminder that American founding principles still inspire freedom-loving people worldwide. Conservative values aren’t just winning here at home — they’re spreading across the globe because working families everywhere want the same things: safe streets, good jobs, and governments that respect their traditions. That’s the message coming out of Colombia, and it’s one every American should be proud to see taking root.

… and don’t think for a minute that the ultimate architect of the world’s movement away from communism, tyranny, and the Democrat party – but I repeat myself – is anyone but The Orange Man. God bless you, Sir – and thanks.

I hope many of you Americans reading this take heed of these actions. The people of South America are fed up with the socialist movement and their lies. Wake up people of the United States and STOP voting for these anti- American, – anti- family, anti- conservative SOCIALISTS. Their objective is to take over and end what the USA stands for; a peaceful and free world for all to live in. We are the last bastion of hope for this earth. Do NOT destroy it by voting for anti- USA liars.

Apparently Jefferson’s words are not important enough to share with us readers. How “journalism” had lost its meaning in this country. The headline invokes Jefferson, but the story ignores him.
WHY IT MATTERS: Middle America loses credibility by frustrating it own readers.

I agree. Why do you constantly leave important information out of your articles.
