January 1, California Forces Shocking New Campus Policy — Parents Will Be FURIOUS

Wyatt’s Take
- California lawmakers want to force community colleges to distribute abortion pills directly on campus — turning educational institutions into abortion clinics without parental knowledge
- This radical push bypasses medical supervision and puts young women’s health at risk while pushing a political agenda on students
- The state already requires universities to offer chemical abortions — now they’re expanding this mandate to every community college in California
California’s far-left legislature is pushing new legislation that would require all community colleges across the state to provide abortion pills directly to students on campus. The proposal represents a dramatic expansion of the state’s existing abortion access laws and would fundamentally transform educational institutions into abortion providers.
The legislation comes as California continues its aggressive push to position itself as the nation’s abortion capital following the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision. State lawmakers have already mandated that public universities provide medication abortions on campus — now they’re extending that requirement to the community college system, which serves more than 2 million students.
With abortion rights and reproductive freedom under assault by politicians across the country, California stands firmly by a woman’s right to choose.
Our defense of these fundamental rights is unshakeable.

Under the proposal, community colleges would be forced to stock and distribute abortion pills, effectively converting campus health centers into abortion clinics. The measure eliminates traditional medical safeguards and parental notification requirements that exist in other healthcare settings.
Supporters of the bill claim they’re simply expanding “healthcare access” for students. But critics argue this is really about normalizing abortion and pushing a radical political agenda on young women at a vulnerable time in their lives.
“Abortion is a healthcare issue,” proponents insist, using language designed to sanitize what is actually the ending of a human life.
The legislation raises serious questions about medical oversight and safety. Chemical abortions can cause severe complications including hemorrhaging, infection, and incomplete abortion requiring surgical intervention. By removing these procedures from traditional medical settings and placing them in campus health centers, California is prioritizing ideology over women’s safety.
The proposal also completely sidelines parents. Young women — some still teenagers — would be able to obtain abortion pills without their parents’ knowledge or consent. This represents a direct assault on parental rights and the family unit.
California already has some of the most extreme abortion laws in the nation. The state allows abortion up to the moment of birth for virtually any reason and has allocated millions in taxpayer dollars to fund abortions for out-of-state residents. This latest push shows just how far left-wing lawmakers are willing to go.
Conservative advocacy groups are mobilizing opposition to the measure, arguing it crosses constitutional lines and puts vulnerable young women at risk. They point out that college health centers are not equipped to handle the potential complications from chemical abortions and that students deserve better than to have a political agenda forced upon them.
The bill also raises concerns about religious freedom. Community colleges with faith-based missions or partnerships could be forced to violate their deeply held beliefs by distributing abortion pills — or face penalties and loss of state funding.
For working families across California, this represents yet another example of Sacramento elites imposing their values on everyone else. Parents who are struggling to afford tuition and support their children through college now have to worry about the state government undermining their authority and putting their daughters in harm’s way.
As the measure moves through the legislature, it’s becoming a flashpoint in the larger national debate over abortion policy. California’s actions are being watched closely by both pro-life and pro-abortion advocates as a potential model — or warning — for other states.
Wyatt Matters
This is about more than abortion policy — it’s about who controls our kids’ lives. California politicians think they know better than parents, better than doctors, better than common sense. They’re willing to risk young women’s health to score political points and keep the abortion industry thriving. Working families built this country on the simple idea that parents raise their children, not the government. When the state starts handing out abortion pills on college campuses without mom and dad even knowing, we’ve lost something fundamental about what makes America different.

It isn’t just one school. The school is neutral; what the state is forcing them to do is what needs to be addressed. Everybody who is pro-life needs to vote this November. I think that whenever a conservative is elected to governor, they should replace liberals in their Cabinet with conservatives. That’s the only way to straighten this state out.
