  • A foreign co-pilot allegedly plotted to slam a commercial jet into Ben Gurion Airport in a calculated terror attack.
  • Passengers and crew stepped in to stop the assault before the plane could reach Israeli soil.
  • Radical ideologies and open borders continue to put ordinary travelers at risk.

Israeli media reports now claim the FlyDubai co-pilot intended to crash the Israel-bound jet into Ben Gurion Airport.

Channel 12 says Hamam al-Hammami told investigators he planned to act like everything was normal, get clearance for final approach, and then dive the aircraft into a building or another plane on the ground.

“The Omani co-pilot had planned to crash the flight into Ben Gurion Airport,” Reuters quoted a source close to the UAE probe.

Two Israeli officials also told Reuters that al-Hammami admitted the plot was hatched before he was ever hired by FlyDubai.

The attack happened last week on Flight FZ1073 flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Al-Hammami allegedly grabbed a crash axe and tried to seize the controls from the captain inside the cockpit.

Passengers rushed forward to help, and the plane was forced to divert to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, where it landed safely.

UAE Attorney General Hamad Saif Al Shamsi confirmed investigators believe the co-pilot tried to carry out a terrorist act by attacking the captain and attempting to take over the aircraft.

The UAE Public Prosecution says the full investigation is still ongoing and will release final results once all procedures are complete.

America must keep its skies and borders secure, because the same kind of radical hatred that targets Israel can just as easily turn on our own cities and families if we let our guard down.
