January 1, Blue City BETRAYAL: Cops Targeted While Crime Explodes

Wyatt’s Take

  • Washington D.C. police brass moving to fire multiple officers while criminals run wild in the streets
  • Another example of woke leadership protecting criminals instead of the men and women who keep us safe
  • This is what happens when radical Democrats put ideology over public safety

Washington, D.C.’s police department is trying to fire multiple officers, according to new reports. While crime continues to plague the nation’s capital, the department has decided to target the very people tasked with protecting residents.

This move comes as violent crime remains a serious concern for D.C. residents and visitors alike. Instead of backing the blue and supporting law enforcement, city leadership appears more interested in undermining the men and women who put their lives on the line every single day.

The timing couldn’t be worse. Cities across America are struggling to recruit and retain quality police officers.

When departments start going after their own, it sends a chilling message to anyone considering a career in law enforcement. Why would good people want to become cops when they know their own department might throw them under the bus?

This is typical blue city dysfunction. Democrat-run cities talk tough about public safety, but their actions tell a different story.

They handcuff police with endless regulations and red tape, then act surprised when crime spirals out of control. They spend more time investigating cops than they do backing them up.

Ordinary citizens are the ones who pay the price. When police officers feel unsupported and under constant threat from their own leadership, response times suffer.

Morale tanks. The best officers leave for departments that actually appreciate them. What’s left is a demoralized force trying to do an impossible job with one hand tied behind their backs.

Meanwhile, criminals know exactly what’s happening. They see police departments in disarray and leadership more worried about political correctness than catching bad guys.

It’s open season on law-abiding residents while the people who should be protecting them get investigated and fired for doing their jobs.

Wyatt Matters

When you punish the good guys and coddle the criminals, you get exactly what D.C. has become — a city where honest folks don’t feel safe in their own neighborhoods. This isn’t complicated. Back the cops who protect us, or watch everything fall apart. Most of America already knows which path works, even if Washington refuses to learn.

Thanks for this worthless article which leaves the reader to assume that the officers in question were wrongfully charged or railroaded. I spent 5 seconds googling to learn that the officials involved manipulated crime statistics to make the city appear safer than it was. Here’s a thought: if you don’t want to be charged with breaking the law, don’t break the law.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer–who is as MAGA as they come–said in a statement, “Make no mistake, top D.C. law enforcement terminations are due to the Oversight Committee exposing how D.C. police leaders manipulated crime data and cultivated a culture of fear to push an agenda.”

He added, “This isn’t over,” and called for access to all documents related to the internal investigation.
