January 1, Elon Musk Challenges Drug Allegations with Test Results

Elon Musk is calling out The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal for not telling the truth. They said he uses drugs a lot, but he posted a picture of his drug test from June 18 that shows he’s clean.
Musk is mad because The New York Times wrote an article with the headline: “On the Campaign Trail, Elon Musk Juggled Drugs and Family Drama.” That article said Musk was doing drugs during the 2024 campaign way more than just once in a while.
Musk fired back on X (formerly Twitter), saying that these fake journalists at the NYT and WSJ lied about him. He even challenged them to show their own drug test results, claiming they’d fail.
Sure, his drug test might not catch things he did a long time ago, but it can definitely see if he used anything recently.
Last year, The Wall Street Journal also said Musk used drugs like LSD and cocaine sometimes at private parties where people have to keep secrets.
Musk talked to his biographer, Walter Isaacson, and said he doesn’t like doing illegal drugs. Instead, he has talked about using ketamine for depression, just as the doctor ordered.
Musk has been a critic of big newspapers like The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal for a while now. Just last month, in Washington, D.C., he reminded everyone how the Times reported the Russia collusion story about Trump back in 2016, which he thinks was all wrong.
He called out the Times, questioning if they’re the same ones who got awards for what he believes was fake news about Trump. It looks like Elon is done with their stories!
Wyatt Matters!
It’s not right when newspapers don’t tell the whole truth about someone, especially when it’s about something as serious as drug use. When The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal said Elon Musk was using drugs, it was hurtful and unfair. Elon Musk even showed a drug test from June to prove he wasn’t doing anything wrong. It’s important for newspapers to check their facts before writing articles that can hurt someone’s reputation.
Even if the drug test doesn’t show if Musk used drugs a long time ago, it does show that he’s clean now. He talked to his biographer about using ketamine for his depression, which is a treatment that’s okay with the doctor. This is a good example of how people can get help from their doctors for their health. It’s not fair to make it sound like he’s doing something wrong when he isn’t.
Elon Musk has criticized these big newspapers before for not being accurate, like with the Russia story about Trump in 2016. When newspapers tell stories, they should stick to the facts and not spread things that aren’t true. Everyone deserves to be represented fairly, and it’s important for reporters to share the truth. Only by being honest can newspapers help people understand what’s really going on.
