January 1, Zuckerberg Admits Facebook Suppressed Hunter Biden Laptop Story
ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…

Mark Zuckerberg admitted that Facebook did suppress articles related to the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story ahead of the 2020 presidential election after the FBI warned about “Russian propaganda.”
The Meta CEO’s claim came during a lengthy interview with “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast.
Zuckerberg told host Joe Rogan that the FBI approached Facebook with a warning that they “should be on high alert.”
Zuckerberg said the FBI believed that a “dump” of “Russian propaganda” was about to occur, and the bureau warned them to “be vigilant.”
“We just kind of thought: Hey, look, if the FBI, which I still view is a legitimate institution in this country, it’s a very professional law enforcement — they come to us and tell us that we need to be on guard about something, then I want to take that seriously,” Zuckerberg said.
When Rogan asked if the FBI had specifically mentioned the New York Post’s story, Zuckerberg said he couldn’t remember.
“No, I don’t remember if it was that specifically, but it basically fit the pattern,” he said.
Rogan asked Zuckerberg how many people were deprived of the information.
“I don’t know off the top of my head, but it’s – it’s meaningful,” Zuckerberg responded.
Several lawmakers expressed alarm at Zuckerberg’s revelation, saying it demonstrated that the federal government and Big Tech had colluded.
“The FBI colluded with Big Tech to silence news stories weeks before the 2020 election in an attempt to control your access to information,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said.
“Democrats in Congress have been intentionally ignoring the facts. When Republicans are back in charge, we will hold all of them accountable.”

Anything coming from Russia should be taken with a grain of salt, past, present, and future. What seems to have been more infamously prevalent and impactful on American politics, though, over the last 6-7 years at least, is FBI disinformation.
