January 1, Lawmaker Says FBI Seized His Cell Phone
Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, says that the FBI has confiscated his cell phone.
“This morning, while traveling with my family, three FBI agents visited me and seized my cell phone,” Perry said in a statement.
Perry claimed the FBI agents “made no attempt to contact my lawyer, who would have made arrangements for them to have my phone if that was their wish.”
“I’m outraged — though not surprised — that the FBI, under the direction of Merrick Garland’s DOJ, would seize the phone of a sitting Member of Congress,” he added.
The lawmaker noted that his “phone contains info about my legislative and political activities, and personal/private discussions with my wife, family, constituents, and friends. None of this is the government’s business.”
Perry’s statement comes shortly after the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida.
“(A)s with President Trump last night, DOJ chose this unnecessary and aggressive action instead of simply contacting my attorneys. These kinds of banana republic tactics should concern every Citizen,” Perry said.

Hey PERRY you F—ING IDIOT, let’s see if we can play this out for you, the FBI contacts you lawyers to let them know they have to confiscate your cell phone, your lawyers do the right thing and contact you with the information, now, seeing that your having a SHIT HEMORRHAGE over the fact that the FBI PICKED YOU, (maybe they just felt like F—ING with somebody, unlikely) or there might be some incriminating evidence on it, so now that you know in advance there looking for phone you and your wife or maybe just you decide to take an evening walk on the pier to watch the sun set AND OOPS, SHIT, DAMN IT hon did you see that I just DROPPED my F—INF PHONE in the ocean I had a lot of important shit on that phone. The FBI have been willing thugs for Democrats for decades. One early example I remember involved the White House Travel Office When Bill Clinton was President. Hillary ordered the FBI to arrest the office staff. They were arrested and had hands cuffed behind their backs. Hillary told the FBI to perp walk them in front of White House Tour groups. Of course, CNN camera crews were there.
