January 1, Secret Service Spending Over $30K Per Month to Protect Hunter Biden

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…
1722: Dutch navigator Jacob Roggeveen is the first European to discover Easter Island/Rapa Nui in the southeastern Pacific.

For almost a year, the taxpayer-funded Secret Service has been spending more than $30,000 per month on a swanky apartment in Malibu, California, as part of Hunter Biden’s security detail.

The Secret Service is assigned to protect the president, his family, and other high-ranking government officials. The agency chose the luxury property in order to be as close as possible to Hunter Biden’s $20,000 per month mansion.

Don Mihalek, a retired senior Secret Service agent, said the arrangement is “the cost of doing business for the Secret Service.”

Mihalek, who now serves as an ABC News contributor, said that federal law requires the Secret Service to protect the president, the first family, and anybody else the president designates.

“Typically, wherever a protectee sets up their residence, the Secret Service is forced to find someplace to rent nearby at market value,” Mihalek said.

“This isn’t new,” Mihalek said. “The Service has had to do this in past administrations, and unfortunately, the housing market right now has driven the prices up substantially.”

The information came to light amid reports that federal investigators have ramped up their probe into Biden’s finances.

It’s the Law of the Land, folks. Did you read: “This isn’t new,” Mihalek said. “The Service has had to do this in past administrations, and unfortunately, the housing market right now has driven the prices up substantially.”

All Federal expenditures should be reviewed for merit and reductions and/or elimination of debt should be the goal!
The cost for the President to visit foreign entities is utterly ridiculous! Biden’s recent meeting in Brussels cost over $6 million dollars! The United States could have accomplished as much if the meetings were conducted virtually!

They should get Hunter some less expensive place with much better security already on site, in Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary.

Presidents and their families all receive protection from the secret service. While 360 thousand dollars a year is not idle pocket change it seems the last occupant of the white house has some impressive numbers for the last year also.

seems like life is a double-edged sword, especially when warped by politics
