January 1, Melania Trump Reportedly Under Investigation
Florida officials have reportedly opened an investigation into former first lady Melania Trump.
Over the weekend, the New York Times reported that Trump is selling tickets to a “high tea” event in April, a fundraiser for her Be Best endeavor called “Fostering the Future.” The initiative is meant to provide computer science scholarships to young people who have been in foster care.
But the outlet reported that no charity with the name Fostering the Future or Be Best has been registered in Florida.
The former first lady condemned the newspaper’s reporting as “dishonest.”
“Everything has been done lawfully, [and] all documents are in the works. Read with caution-typical corrupt media,” Trump tweeted.
“We are working [with] Bradley Impact Fund, a Donor-Advised Fund, to select charities that will receive the donations to foster children.”
