January 1, White House Slams New York Times Over Report

The Defense Department and the White House are hitting back hard after a New York Times story tried to make trouble for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. The piece claimed Hegseth shared “highly sensitive military information” in a Signal chat with his wife, brother, and attorney. But here’s the catch: it’s based on anonymous sources!
Just last week, there was some confusion with a different Signal chat. The Atlantic’s editor accidentally got added to a private chat, and some details about Houthi terrorists were shared before anyone realized he was there. National Security Adviser Mike Waltz took the blame, saying it was a mix-up with his iPhone’s contact suggestions.
The new chat group, called “Defense | Team Huddle,” was supposedly on Hegseth’s personal phone, not his work one. The New York Times didn’t offer proof of anything sensitive being shared, but they sure made it sound sneaky.
Defense spokesman Sean Parnell fired back, slamming the New York Times and what he called “Fake News” for trying to harm people who are loyal to President Trump. Parnell says there’s zero truth to the claims about sensitive info being shared. Instead, he says the Defense Department is getting stronger and better under Trump’s leadership. He promises they will keep fighting for the American warfighter.
Hegseth himself wasn’t shy about responding. While at the White House Easter Egg Roll, he said it’s no surprise the media would try to take down a bunch of people just after some leakers were fired. He says the media loves using bitter former employees as sources to try and mess up reputations. But not with him! Hegseth is focused on changing things at the Defense Department and giving the Pentagon back to the warfighters.
The White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also backed Hegseth up on “Fox & Friends,” letting everyone know President Trump is standing by him because Hegseth is doing a great job at the Pentagon.
Then came NPR with more anonymous gossip, saying the White House is looking to replace Hegseth. Leavitt shot that down right away, calling it total FAKE NEWS. She said President Trump fully supports his Defense Secretary and that NPR doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
So there you have it. More rumors from anonymous folks, but the folks standing with Trump and the warfighters aren’t budging!
Wyatt Matters!
Reading about the recent fuss stirred up by the New York Times, it’s clear there’s a lot of chatter about Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth sharing secret military information. But without any real evidence, it’s hard to believe these anonymous sources. It’s almost like telling tales at school without knowing if they’re true. When people say things without showing proof, it just leads to misunderstandings and mistrust. It’s important to base claims on facts, not rumors.
Defense spokesman Sean Parnell is standing up and saying the claims are all wrong. He believes in building a stronger defense system for America and is focused on supporting the warfighters. It’s nice to see someone dedicated to making things better, not getting caught up in drama. Parnell wants to protect those working hard for the country, and that’s a goal everyone can support.
Pete Hegseth isn’t letting any of this get him down, either. At the Easter Egg Roll, he made it clear that he isn’t worried about media stories that try to take him down with secrets from unhappy people. It’s admirable to stay focused on the main job: improving the Defense Department for the people who serve in it. With President Trump backing him up, Hegseth seems more determined than ever to push forward and keep doing what he believes is right for America.

This is treason. He should resign; he keeps screwing up. All he wants to do is party and it shows.
