January 1, Veteran’s Legal Team Considers Suing Over Wrongful Prosecution

Marine veteran Daniel Penny’s legal team is thinking about suing District Attorney Alvin Bragg and others after Penny was found not guilty. They believe the charges against Penny were part of a wrongful prosecution.

Penny’s lawyer, Steven Raiser, spoke on “Fox & Friends” after the acquittal. He said it seemed like the prosecutors were trying hard to find a way to convict Penny. But they couldn’t, so they dropped a bigger charge to try their luck with a lesser one. Thankfully, they failed.

Raiser wants to hold Bragg accountable for handling the case in a way that crossed ethical lines. He also wants to look into the medical examiner’s office, which he claims worked closely with Bragg’s team. Raiser believes there was a plot from the start, involving folks linked to the same political party.

Penny was accused of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide after Jordan Neely, a homeless man, died on a New York City subway. Penny had put Neely in a chokehold because Neely was threatening other passengers.

The big charge of manslaughter was dropped because the jury couldn’t agree on a verdict. They then focused on the lesser charge, but finally, the jurors decided Penny was not guilty.

After the trial, in an interview with Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro, Penny said he had no regrets and felt he had to act to protect others.

Wyatt Matters!

People should be able to protect themselves and others without fear of being wrongly accused. When someone steps up to help during a dangerous situation, like on a subway, they shouldn’t be punished for their bravery. It seems wrong that the legal system would go after someone who was just trying to keep people safe, as they did in this case. The idea that someone who acts out of a sense of duty can be taken to court for it is troubling.

It’s important that the justice system is fair and not influenced by political interests. Some people believe that the charges were part of a bigger plan involving people from the same political group. If cases are treated this way, people will become scared to help others in need. This situation shows why it’s crucial to keep politics out of the courtroom and focus on what’s right and just. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly, no matter the opinions of those in charge.

Those in charge of the justice system should be held accountable for their decisions. It’s not fair if they bend the rules or are not honest just because of political reasons. This can lead to innocent people getting hurt. If there are signs that something was done unethically, there should be an investigation. It is necessary for check that those in power are doing their jobs correctly, so everyone can trust the system to be fair and honest.

Both Bragg and James have let their views corrupt the laws they’re SUPPOSED to represent, and BOTH need to be Disbarred and held Accountable for EVERYTHING they’ve done!
