January 1, Trump’s New Push Leaves Hundreds of Jihadists Dead
Wyatt’s Take
- The Trump administration took down 370 jihadists in just nine months.
- Federal teams are targeting terror cells that entered during Biden’s open border years.
- Major action is promised against anyone funding chaos or violent plots on U.S. soil.
The Trump White House reports killing 370 jihadists since January, striking hard at terror groups in Africa and the Middle East. Counterterrorism chief Dr. Sebastian Gorka says America is back in the fight and terrorists are paying the price with their lives.
“We’re actually turning most of them into red mist,” Gorka said, describing the impact of U.S. operations with military force.
Targets include high-ranking members of ISIS and al-Qaeda affiliates who played key roles in attacks and recruitment. These strikes, Gorka revealed, left some of the world’s deadliest terrorists dead before they could harm more Americans.
The administration says that figure doesn’t even count recent attacks against the Houthis in Yemen, who struck U.S. and other Western targets. Gorka made it clear: “Outside of the Houthis campaign, we have killed 370 leading jihadists around the globe.”
Federal forces are now focusing on groups that slipped through the border and on supporters funding terror or violent leftist outfits. Just last week, two Antifa members in Texas got hit with terror charges after attacking a federal facility.
“The statutes are very, very clear. It’s called material support to terrorism… if you’re targeting innocent Americans like my friend Charlie Kirk, then we will use all legal tools against you,” Gorka warned.
He says every part of law enforcement, from the FBI to Homeland Security, is on the case — tracking funds and stopping threats wherever they emerge.
The efforts also saw 76 Americans freed from terrorist captivity, with some high-profile terrorists captured and brought to the U.S. for justice. One major victory was bringing in a suspect connected to the Abbey Gate bombing in Afghanistan, which killed 13 American troops.
“At 3 a.m. I was on the tarmac … as we waited for the DOJ jet to land with Sharifullah, the Abbey Gate bomb suspect, on board, a priority I’d made for myself,” Gorka remembered.
Back in January, Gorka said his team asked him directly if they could return to the harder-hitting rules from Trump’s first term. Within days, they went to President Trump himself to get approval for action.
“The President looked up from the Resolute Desk, and he said to us, ‘what do you mean we’ve been tracking him? Kill him!’” Gorka recalled.
These operations mark a sharp shift from previous years and signal that counterterrorism is once again a top priority for Washington.
