President Trump took to Truth Social to urge Americans to pray for Charlie Kirk after a shooting at Utah Valley University. He said,
“We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!”
Kirk was speaking outdoors at the university when gunfire sent him off his stool. He appeared to have been shot in the neck, but his current condition is unknown.
FBI Director Kash Patel stated the agency is keeping a close watch on the case. In his words,
“We are closely monitoring reports of the tragic shooting involving Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Our thoughts are with Charlie, his loved ones, and everyone affected. Agents will be on the scene quickly and the FBI stands in full support of the ongoing response and investigation.”
