The U.S. Department of Labor has rolled out Project Firewall to hunt down and stop boss-man tricks with the H-1B visa program.

Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer is signing off on these probes to make sure companies stop shortchanging workers and get held to stricter standards.

A $100,000 fee on H-1B petitions is just one way the administration is sending a message that American jobs and wages matter most.

Employers are being called out for listing fake worksites and failing to notify when foreign workers are fired.
