January 1, Trump Signs Major Bill for Veterans’ Home Loans

Published

on

Hey folks, guess what? President Trump is stepping up once again for our veterans! On Wednesday, he’s signing something called the VA Home Loan Program Reform Act. This is big news for all the folks who served our country because it helps them get extra help with their home loans.

A good guy named Rep. Derrick Van Orden from Wisconsin pushed this bill through. He started working on it back in March, and now it’s actually happening. He’s really excited and wants to make sure vets can own homes and live the American Dream.

This new law is going to make sure that veterans who are struggling to pay their mortgages can get help. It’s fixing some bad decisions made under the Biden administration where things got pricey and risky. Van Orden says his plan is a smart solution. It’s all about making sure veterans have a strong, solid program to help them with their homes. He’s tired of unelected folks making choices that cost taxpayers billions without asking Congress.

Van Orden worked hard with his friends in the Senate to pass this bill, and now it’s in President Trump’s hands. Trump will sign it into law in a room at the White House called the Roosevelt Room, and he’s also talking later about making health technology better.

This is about taking care of our veterans the right way and making sure they can enjoy the freedom they fought for!

Wyatt Matters!

It’s great news that there’s a new law to help veterans with their home loans. This will be a big help for those who served our country, allowing them to buy homes without as many worries. Veterans deserve support for all they’ve done, and the new law will fix problems that made it hard for them to pay for their homes.

Representative Van Orden did a fantastic job pushing this plan to make sure veterans can achieve the American Dream of homeownership. It’s good to see leaders working hard to pass laws that truly support our veterans. By fixing the problems that made buying a home too costly and risky, this law will bring real relief to many families.

Having President Trump sign this into law shows that veterans are being given the respect and help they deserve. It’s a big step in making sure they have stable and reliable programs that back them up. This act shows we appreciate everything veterans have done and we want to provide them with a secure future.

They already get VA loan with no money down. How can you go lower than that? I hope they’re not going to make the DTI allowances higher, because that’s setting them up for failure.

I appreciate anything that Congress can do to help our veterans. I am thankful that they are willing to give everything to keep us safe! They should get low interest loans, not the current rate.
I know someone that has lost their hearing because of the job they had in the military. VA agrees it is because of the job but refuses to give him disability to assist with hearing aids. Not fair!

Interest rates aren’t good. Not putting money down makes the payments even higher. Everyone needs a break on interest rates but Powell doesn’t care.

As a three tour vietnam Marine PH awardee, I wish we would have a 2% mortgage rate. It would really help those of us who came home from Vietnam with serious disabilities and we didn’t get offered a free home like T4T gives it’s modern day veterans. All we got was the shaft!

Veteran’s should get something for their service. When discharged they can go to college via the G.I. bill, but what if they don’t use it? Then instead they should get the same amount towards something else like mortgage down payment, rate reduction, or medical insurance payments that would equal college tuition’s.What difference does it make as long as it benefit’s the veteran? The G.I. bill’s “use it or lose it” penalizes those who can’t or don’t want to use it. Too many strings attached for those that pledged it all for America.

I’ve been trying to get a simple problem solved for almost two years now and it seems almost impossible. I’m finding that the Veterans Affairs department is one of the worse ran agencies there is. And it’s ran by mostly ‘veterans’! Always passing the buck, acting unconcerned, couldn’t care attitudes, long reactions to solutions, not taking a pragmatic approach, and the list goes on. How about revamping the whole system so it actually works!!!
