Wyatt’s Take

  • Trump met with Putin in Alaska, aiming for peace.
  • He favors a direct agreement, not just a ceasefire.
  • Zelenskyy will visit Washington soon for talks.

President Trump says working toward a real peace agreement will do more to end conflict than any temporary ceasefire can.

The President spoke after meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska. He called the talks “great and very successful.”

He continued negotiations by speaking with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine and several European leaders, including NATO’s secretary general.

“It was determined by all that the best way to end the horrific war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a Peace Agreement, which would end the war, and not a mere Ceasefire Agreement, which often times do not hold up,” he said.

Zelenskyy is expected in Washington on Monday. If things go as planned, a follow-up meeting with Putin may be set.

Trump believes finding a real solution could save millions of lives.

Stay tuned for updates on this important visit and what it could mean for world peace.
