January 1, Trump Dodges Maxwell Pardon Question Amidst Past Ties

Published

on

President Trump said he “hasn’t thought about” giving a pardon to Ghislaine Maxwell. She’s the woman who worked with Jeffrey Epstein and is in prison for 20 years because of sex trafficking crimes.

Trump chatted with reporters before he left the White House to head over to Europe. He’s going to meet the Scottish Prime Minister. A reporter asked if he would think about pardoning or letting Maxwell out early. Trump replied, “I’m allowed to do it, but it’s something I haven’t thought about.”

On Thursday, a top guy from the Justice Department, Todd Blanche, met with Maxwell in Florida. Blanche said that if Maxwell can tell them about others who did bad things, the FBI and DOJ will listen.

Another reporter asked if they can trust Maxwell since she’s in prison and might just want out. Trump said, “Well, you know, he’s a professional lawyer. I think he’s been through this kind of stuff before.”

Maxwell’s lawyer said she’s answered all the government’s questions.

Reporters also talked about how Trump denied writing a strange birthday letter to Epstein. Trump said he never wrote any letter, and someone might have used his name without him knowing. He even sued a newspaper for a huge amount over that story.

Trump and Epstein were friends in the early 2000s, but Trump kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago in 2007 after Epstein was rude to a member’s daughter. Trump said he hasn’t spoken to Epstein in 15 years and “wasn’t a fan.”

Bill Clinton got mentioned, too. Reports say Clinton wrote a birthday note to Epstein about his “childlike curiosity.”

Trump didn’t hold back. He told reporters to ask about Clinton, who went to Epstein’s island 28 times. “I never went to the island,” Trump said. He thinks reporters should ask about other powerful guys who were close to Epstein.

Back in 2019, Epstein died in jail. They said it was suicide. Everyone was waiting for his trial on some real serious charges, like hurting young girls and getting them for rich men on his private island.

Wyatt Matters!

The idea of giving someone a pardon is a big decision, especially when it involves someone like Ghislaine Maxwell. She was very close to Jeffrey Epstein, who did many bad things, and she is in jail for helping him. People wonder if it’s fair to even think about letting her go early. Some believe she should remain in jail because it’s important to send a message that these kinds of actions have serious consequences. When someone has hurt others in a big way, they need to face the punishment.

However, it’s also important to consider if she has new information that can help catch others who did bad things with Epstein. If Maxwell can tell the FBI and the Justice Department about other bad actors, it could help keep more people safe and hold others accountable. But can we trust what she says if it means she might get out of jail sooner? That’s a tough question. People who lie to get what they want make it hard to know the truth.

Another concern is about being fair and honest. There are stories about powerful people, like presidents from before, who were friends with Epstein. People wonder why some names keep coming up while others are ignored. It’s important to focus on finding out the truth and holding everyone accountable, not just picking and choosing whose stories to believe. Only then can justice really be done.

President Trump needs to be very careful who he considers for pardons. He is a balancing of the court system. I am often reminded of the old western movies with a victim in the courtroom and a lynching mob of townspeople standing outside shouting “hang him.” It’s hardly a fair trial whether the person is guilty or not. We have too many places that are “old westerns” starting with D.C. and New York. Thank God for the balancing power, but done with prayer and following the God of the universe who knows all and is able to answer every man’s prayer. Let us never fall for the false gods whole nations follow even today.

If there are so-called files, or even a list, and there are names of people that solicited sex with minors, that should be aired and those people indicted and if convicted given long prison sentences.
If there is no list but Maxwell is willing to give out those names, then perhaps, she would be eligible for a commutation of her sentence.

He has not even considered a pardon, never crossed his mind. This is just the MSM trying to generate another fake story.
