Here we go again with Washington cooking up the numbers to fool hard-working Americans. President Trump came out swinging on Friday, saying the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is fixing the monthly jobs reports. According to him, this isn’t about honest accounting—it’s about boosting Joe Biden’s team and keeping Republicans down.

He didn’t mince words, writing, “In my opinion, today’s Jobs Numbers were RIGGED in order to make the Republicans, and ME, look bad — Just like when they had three great days around the 2024 Presidential Election, and then, those numbers were ‘taken away’ on November 15, 2024, right after the Election, when the Jobs Numbers were massively revised DOWNWARD, making a correction of over 818,000 Jobs — A TOTAL SCAM.”

He also took a shot at Fed chairman Jerome Powell, arguing, “Jerome ‘Too Late’ Powell is no better! But, the good news is, our Country is doing GREAT!” That’s some plain talk you won’t hear from the D.C. crowd.

Following up those comments, Trump shared he demanded the firing of Dr. Erika McEntarfer, who led the labor statistics office. He called her a Biden pick and said the downward revisions in May and June’s jobs numbers show something’s fishy.

Now, the BLS says these kinds of job number changes have happened under both Trump and Biden, claiming it’s just how the process works. But, when so much is on the line, should regular families just accept that explanation without a second look?

When we see leaders and agencies play games with our livelihoods, it’s a slap in the face to every man and woman putting in a hard day’s work. Americans want truth, not spin. It’s time those in charge remember who they actually work for—the people.
