January 1, Trump Allies Face Off With Iran in Geneva

Wyatt’s Take
- High-stakes nuclear talks are happening in Switzerland.
- The U.S. pushes Iran on sanctions, while both sides warn of force.
- Iran wants American pressure to ease before making a deal.
Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, working for President Trump, are sitting down with Iranian leaders in Switzerland for nuclear talks. Oman is helping broker the talks, hoping to stop things from turning into a fight.
Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, said he’s bringing “real ideas to achieve a fair and equitable deal.” He made it clear: “What is not on the table: submission before threats.” Kushner and Witkoff had already met with Iranian officials last month in Oman.
Iran’s deputy foreign minister, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, said Sunday his country might agree to a deal—if the U.S. eases tough sanctions, especially those on Iran’s oil and banks. He said, “We are ready to discuss this and other issues related to our program provided that they are ready also to talk about the sanctions.” He added, “It has to be give and take; that’s what compromise is all about.” Now, Iran says the old problem of uranium enrichment is off the table. That could mean the two sides are getting closer to an agreement.
President Trump continues to demand big changes from Iran, while both sides warn about possible military action. The Pentagon even sent another aircraft carrier to the Middle East as a show of force. On Friday, Trump said, “In case we don’t make a deal, we’ll need it.” Iran shot back, saying it will target U.S. bases if threatened.
Keep paying attention, because these talks will shape if there’s peace or more trouble ahead for Americans and our troops.
Wyatt Matters
The heartland wants strong leadership, not endless war. Working folks deserve to know their country isn’t backing down but isn’t rushing into battles either. These talks matter for our safety and our future.

Keep the pressure on, keep the sanctions on, they’ll just keep cheating otherwise!

The U.S. needs to go ahead and blow Iran to kingdom come…get it over with. And be sure to get the Supreme Towelhead too. Those people will never be at peace. Just turn their corner of that litter box to glass, and don’t look back. You’re welcome Europe.
