January 1, Texas Rises Against Muslim Brotherhood Threat

Wyatt’s Take

  • Texas Gov. Abbott officially labeled the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR as terrorist groups.
  • Both organizations deny the designations and have sued the state.
  • Push grows in Congress to give the Brotherhood the same federal label.

Gov. Greg Abbott made headlines by declaring the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR as foreign terrorist and criminal groups in Texas. This move aims to stop them from buying land and sends a bold message about safety.

Republicans and some Democrats in Congress want the State Department to make the Brotherhood a foreign terrorist group nationwide. Sen. Ted Cruz and others introduced a bill to support this effort, but the federal government has not yet acted.

Abbott insists these groups try to spread Sharia law and work against American values. He stated,

“These radical extremists are not welcome in our state and are now prohibited from acquiring any real property interest in Texas.”

CAIR denies all allegations and has filed a lawsuit against the state, claiming the order violates their rights. They responded strongly,

“Mr. Abbott has once again shown that his top priority is advancing anti-Muslim bigotry, not serving the people of Texas.”

Abbott then launched criminal investigations into both groups, saying the aim is to protect Texans from intimidation and harassment. CAIR fired back in court, defending their position and accusing Abbott of targeting Muslims unfairly.

Several Middle Eastern countries, like Egypt and Saudi Arabia, have already named the Brotherhood a terror group. The debate continues at the national level as lawmakers call for a united stance on the issue.

Get the facts, take a stand, and keep your eyes open for updates as this fight for security and American values unfolds.

Never forget that Islam has a history of centuries-long patience in achieving its stated mission of eradicating all non Muslims. Despite our outrage over 9/11, we ourselves have set the stage for our country to be taken over by Muslims. No Muslim should be allowed to hold public office in the U. S., because the tenets of Islam are antithetical to our Constitution. ABSOLUTELY they are terrorists! Any Muslim claiming to be peaceful is either lying, or needs to learn what the Koran actually says and realize that they need a different religion.
