January 1, Secret Venezuela Raid Leak Exposes Major Security Breach

Wyatt’s Take

  • Someone leaked Trump’s Venezuela raid plan to the media, but the news never broke ahead of time.
  • Major outlets held back on publishing out of concern for American soldiers’ safety.
  • Maduro ousted after a swift military move, with no U.S. deaths reported.

Trump’s secret military plan to capture Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro leaked to two big newspapers, but both chose not to publish. The decision was made to protect American troops involved in the high-stakes mission.

The raid went forward anyway. By Saturday morning, Maduro was captured and quickly removed from Venezuela. A grand jury later hit him with several serious charges, including narco-terrorism.

The identity of whoever leaked the operation is still unknown.

Trump gave the final go-ahead Friday night, just hours before making the success public. Photos later showed him and his team at Mar-a-Lago overseeing the mission.

Some U.S. soldiers were hurt, but none lost their lives during the strikes. Trump credited smart planning for sparing American lives.

It’s not the first time the press has kept quiet on national security issues to protect troops. Similar actions happened during the Bay of Pigs and Iran-Contra moments, but not all outlets always agreed on what to hold back.

Many Americans now wonder if the real threat to our troops comes from leakers inside the government.

Trump should be impeached. As a 90% disabled veteran from the Vietnam War, Marine, I feel insulted when presidents go to war without a declaration of war. The American people should feel insulted also. Trump has declared himself military dictator.

It’s no declaration of war you clown. I find it hard to believe that Vietnam vet would say that. Let me tell you something you leftist clown, real Americans are Proud of Trump and what was done here. Go crawl back under your rock you slime ball. You should be recalled to activate duty and then put to death for Cowardness and Treasonous Acts. You Cannot be a Vietnam Vet. You are to Pathetic to be one.

I’m going out on a limb here, but it appears to me the 90% disability is your brain.

Absolutely agree – – but this one sounds more like a trouble-making propagandist!!! Certainly does NOT sound like any “American military veteran:!

Well we know we have rinos, they must be replaced, they don’t care about our country or service members…and punished… we should make it a law, and punishable by death, if they leak government secrets…and if a news source hears any and something happens because of a leak they printed…death to them both…business and person responsible for doing the story.

Why the hell was it not a declaration of war when we killed other terrorist leaders moron?

When Obama kills someone on the terror watch list with a drone, and this person is an American citizen who lives in New Jersey, his son, also an American citizen and a friend of the son who is also an American citizen, that is perfectly acceptable. The son and friend were just “collateral damage” and the cost of doing business. Trump captured the pos for trial, but it was ok for Obama to just kill his person.

Bottom line up front is that President Trump did the right thing and I believe it is only the first of many. No declaration of war here. Was an arrest under a valid indictment made by US Federal Law Enforcement complete rights read. We had a $25 million dollar reward out for him. I also am surprised to hear a Viet Nam vet complain about this.

This “complainer” is more likely a “troll” and should be ignored.
