- McCoy plans to run a half marathon in all 50 states, spreading pride and unity.
Teag McCoy leads a viral running club where folks carry the American flag with pride. He’s planning to run a half marathon in every state in 2026 to encourage unity and fitness across the country.
McCoy, once chasing a basketball dream, found a deeper purpose in the U.S.—freedom and a true sense of belonging. He believes in upholding American values like generosity, law, and equal justice.
“I am here because of what this nation stands for. The Constitution, the rule of law, freedom of speech, and equal justice are the foundation of America, and they are the values that drew me here and keep me here.”
He’s clear: disrespecting our flag or hating America doesn’t fit the vision of freedom that he treasures. He calls on folks to honor law enforcement, protect innocent people, and reject ideologies that clash with American values.
“Burning the American flag and chanting ‘Death to America’ is unacceptable and horrific.”
McCoy stresses a distinction between peaceful religion and radicalism, saying Americans should stand strong against any group trying to override our laws or sow division. He argues that faith means peace, respect, and hard work—not hatred or violence.
“A true Muslim cannot be a terrorist, and a terrorist can never be a true Muslim.”
He urges America to protect its values by upholding the Constitution and encouraging newcomers to respect our way of life. For McCoy, the answer lies in standing together for freedom and the dignity of every person.
“America is strong enough to be tough on terrorism and fair to innocent people at the same time. We defeat extremism by standing confidently for our values, not by surrendering to fear or hate.”
His daily gratitude for America’s principles drives his mission to use running as a way to connect hearts in every state.
Stand with those who love this country for what it truly is. Show your pride, support unity, and don’t be afraid to hold up your values for all to see.
