January 1, Parents Sue School Over ‘Sexually Explicit’ Assignment

A family in Nevada filed a lawsuit against their daughter’s school district and several school employees after a teacher allegedly gave their child a “sexually explicit class assignment,” their attorney said.

Candra and Terrell Evans are taking legal action against the Clark County School District (CCSD) after their 15-year-old daughter allegedly had to “perform obscene, sexual activity as a class assignment” in her theater class.

“She felt very betrayed, and she just cried all the time,” Candra, the student’s mother, told KSNV. “She didn’t want to get up. She didn’t want to go to school.”

The Evans’ say that last March, their daughter and her classmates at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts were given monologues to memorize and perform. The monologues were written by other students and approved by their teacher.

Their daughter’s monologue was “about a girl coming out to her boyfriend” as a lesbian and “breaking up with the boyfriend,” Candra said. “But it’s the language that was used.”

“I still don’t understand how a teacher would think this is okay to ever give this to a kid, knowing that they will be humiliated reading that, having to memorize that,” Candra said.

Candra initially brought her concerns to the school’s assistant principal. She publicly raised her concerns during a school board meeting on May 12.

“This will be horrifying for me to read to you, but it will give you perspective on how she must’ve felt when her teacher required her to memorize this and to act it out in front of her entire class,” Candra told the board members before launching into the assigned monologue.

Candra’s microphone abruptly went silent after she read the first three sentences — which referenced male genitalia— video from the meeting’s live stream shows. A board member asked her to refrain from using profanity.

“If you don’t want me to read it to you, what was it like for my 15-year-old daughter to have to memorize pornographic material?” Candra responded.

The lawsuit claims that the assignment was unlawful grooming and abuse of a minor student.

“That teacher abused their authority and required a sexually explicit assignment to be performed,” said Sam Castor, the family’s attorney. “Now, put yourself in the shoes of this this 14, 15-year-old girl. She’s in a scenario where she has to perform something that’s against her own family beliefs.”

Candra told KSNV that her daughter’s been in counseling since the incident occurred. She still attends the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts but stopped taking theater.

This is nothing but pedophelia For some reason this website does not allow the word to be typed. These perverts in this school deserve prison. Jesus get the federal government out of the education system. All pedofiles need to be executed or life time imprisonment.

When liberals took over the education system, for one. Thing is that this gender hypocrisy is a mental disorder which needs addressed but isn’t and nothing’s being done about it and the left is pushing it to the point of absurd. The chromosomes stay the same there is no conversion. I fell sorry for those who think they can change them but they cannot.

I would have taken my daughter out of that school not just theater. Also that teacher should be fired to allow this to be in a performance. This is unreal, but it is happening more and more and should never ever be tolerated. I agree this should be a lawsuit. I hope the family gets justice.

Laws do not stop people from breaking laws This will continue no matter what. You have to punish these people and get them out of society. If they don’t have a school to bring their evil it will come to your neighborhood.

This type of smut must be stopped NOW. Teacher AND school MUST be held accountable. Then the Federal Government MUST be held accountable !! Our country has been overcome with evil and corruption. The only thing that will stop this insanity is for America to return to our Heavenly Father. I don’t care how many people call me a religious nut, I love God, & I love His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. I pray that every person in this country will stand up for Jesus, ask for forgiveness for what we have allowed into this country, & ask for mercy. HE IS OUR HOPE AND OUR SALVATION !

Maybe the teachers feel that they can do whatever they want and the union will protect them. Hope they don’t tend to hold their breathes. Teachers may have a degree, did a half of a school year, but now it time for the real world. But about the students, if the so called teachers even remember who they are. Enough is more than enough. All the teachers, principals, and other staff that thinks porn is A OK, needs to either be fired or advised to resign.

I am amazed. I see stories like this all the time and I can’t understand how the school boards are good with this kind of crap. What has happened to the morals and decency in people? The subject matter and profanity used in expressing it is something that does not belong in a classroom setting with anyone under the age of 18. I noticed that during the video, the board was updet with the parent using profanity, but not one board member spoke out against the subject matter. Not a single one. If I had children or grandchildren that were subjected to this “educational” material, I would be the first in line to complain to my congress person and state senator. There needs to be decency laws preventing this sort of “education”.

Thy should fire the entire board if this is what they call teaching. These are not teachers, but perverts who are trying to change and intimidate you children. Someone ought to kick their BUTTS!!

Let’s hope they get a real judge to hear the case instead of a crooked liberal.
