Wyatt’s Take

  • Rep. Nancy Mace is pushing to protect unaccompanied migrant children from trafficking.
  • The “No More Missing Children Act” sets strict safety measures for sponsors of these kids.
  • Mace calls out Biden’s handling of missing migrant children and backs stronger border controls.

Rep. Nancy Mace introduced the “No More Missing Children Act” in response to the surge in lost unaccompanied migrant kids.

This act would build a strong anti-trafficking program for children at risk at the border.

Mace says, “The Biden Administration’s reckless negligence left UAC to roam a lawless system, preyed upon by traffickers, predators, and cartels.”

She adds, “As a mother and a lawmaker, we refuse to sit by while children are exploited. Building on President Trump’s mission to rescue missing children, our No More Missing Children Act restores law and order and takes the fight to the criminals exploiting our immigration system.”

If signed into law, the bill would require tough background checks for anyone taking custody of a child, including checks against criminal, gang, and terror databases.

Extra measures include home inspections, monthly phone check-ins, GPS monitoring, and fast removal of children from unsafe situations.

People with records or dangerous ties would be blocked from sponsoring these vulnerable children.

The bill responds to reports that over 32,000 children have gone missing from federal tracking since 2019.

Nearly 291,000 children also didn’t receive court dates after crossing the border illegally.

Federal audits show major failures in how the government tracked and protected these kids once released from federal custody.

ICE reportedly moved 448,000 unaccompanied kids to other agencies since 2019, but lost track of where many ended up.

A congressional report found that nearly 60% of these children are exploited by cartels for child pornography or drug trafficking.

Mace is also pushing bills that target violence and criminals who abuse our immigration system.

Stay alert—because every vulnerable child lost at the border is one too many.
