  • Federal funding is paused while millions in taxpayer dollars are missing.
  • Gov. Walz and Attorney General Ellison have been called to explain actions or lack thereof.

Washington is bringing Minnesota officials to account for fraud in vital state-run programs. Chairman Comer called out Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, questioning their efforts to stop taxpayer money from being lost.

Federal agencies put the brakes on funding after allegations surfaced that Minnesota schemes raided programs like SNAP and Medicaid for millions.

Governor Walz admitted fraud exists, claiming his team has fought it for years.

Comer wants a full hearing, inviting both Walz and Ellison for a special session set for February 10. He will have state officials testify on what went wrong on January 7, 2026.

“Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison have either been asleep at the wheel or complicit in a massive fraud involving taxpayer dollars in Minnesota’s social services programs,” Comer warned.

“American taxpayers demand and deserve accountability for the theft of their hard-earned money.”

He promised to push for tough oversight and stronger penalties for those who abuse government help.

Stay tuned. Working families deserve answers and real accountability when tax dollars go missing.
