January 1, Massachusetts Bar Owners Face Boycott After Dropping Mask Mandate One Night a Week

- Hard-working bar owners in Greenfield are being attacked for trying to keep their doors open by dropping masks on Saturdays.
- Left-wing activists are hurling firebomb threats and calling the owners ableist because a few customers want to drink without a mask one night a week.
- The same crowd that demanded endless COVID rules now cheers when a small business bleeds money and owners sleep in their trucks.
A lesbian bar in Greenfield, Massachusetts, is facing boycott calls and threats after lifting its mask rule for Saturday nights.
The owners hoped the change would bring in enough customers to pay rent and staff. Instead, they got accused of eugenics and told their place should be firebombed.
“I hope your venue gets firebombed for robbing my fellow immunocompromised people of their Saturday plans just to scrape extra revenue from ablists [sic],” one commenter wrote.
“People like you kill disabled people in the name of your own leisure and convenience,” another posted.
“Just say you’re being complicit in a mass disabling event and get it over with,” a third said.
The bar already had almost no customers on Saturday nights. Greenfield itself had not recorded a single new COVID case in over two months.
Owner Jackie Matellian has been living in her truck, working four jobs, and carrying a $50,000 loan just to keep the doors open.
“It was not my passion project,” Matellian said through tears at a community meeting. “I never really wanted this. I don’t think I’m doing a very good job.”
Critics at the meeting called the white therapist leading the discussion racist for centering white feelings. Others said having a therapist present made them feel unsafe because she is a mandated reporter.
The bar’s apology post was attacked for lacking alt text. Its promise to stay mask-optional on Saturdays has not brought back the crowds.
One bartender even declared Lady Gaga “canceled” and “Zionist” when a customer suggested a themed party to draw business.

I was wondering that also. I’m originally from Amherst but left 40 years ago. Now in SC we were never required to wear masks except in medical facilities.

Masks? Wtf! They’ve already proven that Fauci was a big fraud and masks do absolutely nothing! These people are mentally ill and now they’re going after lesbians? It’s crazy how corruption lies in the original 13 colonies the most. They need to stop worrying about covid and start worrying about their mental illnesses that they have contracted! These people are literally crazy and are in need of some serious psychological attention. I thought the left was all about championing gays and transgendered people. I’ve never seen so much bass ackward thinking in my whole life. These people are living in the dark ages and perpetrating a fraud. They need some serious psychological evaluation. Mental illness has become a serious problem in the United States. When someone completely plans a way to kill 3 children and plays the insanity card and people agree with it, that just shows how mentally ill people are in this country! Masks are not needed anymore so get up with the times. Besides, masks were never needed in the first place. What makes the people in the bar immunocompromised in the first place? Because they are lesbians? Jesus is coming back soon and all the signs are there. Hell will be full of these mentally ill people. The devil knows his time is short. Interesting. If you’re doing a specific job that you HAVE to wear a mask for(Ice), you’re condemned for wearing it.
If you’re out bar hopping and decide to not wear a mask, you’re condemned for not wearing it.
If you attend a political meeting, you wear a mask, but complain about when or when not to wear one. Whatever rocks your liberal boat.
Just go get your flu shot. It has the same ingredients in it as the Covid vaccine does (mRNA). You know, the ingredient that screws with your DNA. They know that people will refuse the Covid vaccine, but most everyone will get a flu vaccine. SNEAKY …..

Why is anyone there wearing a mask? You know I was born in that state and I haven’t lived there for about 40 years and I thank God every day that I moved out of it because most of them have gone off their rockers.

All I needed to see was “Massachusetts.” Since when are lesbians “immunocompromised?” If you’re that scared of getting covid, stay away from places where people gather…like bars, clubs, malls, theaters, etc..
FYI..think of a woven mask as a chain-link fence and a virus as a marble. The marble is much smaller than the holes in the fence. It will pass through it without any problem..just like the virus through a mask. All you’re doing is breathing the same stale air all night. Even N-95 masks don’t keep out very much. And for that ignorant witch to hope the bar is firebombed…there are no words! What a nasty person she must be.

Idiots wear masks, they are the public sign of fundamentalists who live with a leash attached. I double checked the date on this article and it isn’t 2021 or 2022, so why the hell are these people wearing masks?
